Most Bluetooth apps work perfectly. Until multiple BLE devices start competing for the same connection. 😅 That’s exactly what happened while building the smart lock ecosystem for Blue-bike. What looked like a standard Bluetooth integration quickly evolved into: - Beacon detection - Maintenance access - Smart lock communication at scale The problem? Smartphones only have ONE Bluetooth radio. Without proper coordination, BLE features start interrupting each other, causing unstable connections, failed actions and frustrating user experiences. So instead of fixing issues afterwards, we built a centralized scan coordinator that manages Bluetooth as a shared system resource. Because BLE complexity doesn’t show up on day one.
