    Touched down in Singapore and went straight into an incredible conversation talking about longevity. We had a small luncheon with friends of igniteXL Ventures—our global seed fund focused on longevity, beauty, and wellness—and talked about where the future of health is headed, and how East and West are approaching it differently. Here are a few reflections: 🧬 Longevity is the new frontier. “Anti-aging” is out—brands like L’Oréal and Estée Lauder have dropped the word entirely. Today, longevity means preventative care, early diagnostics, and optimising quality of life—not just extending it. And while Asia’s aging populations are a clear driver, it’s the younger generation that's setting expectations for longevity-focused living. 🩻 Consumers are taking control. Several guests shared that they fly to Asia for full-body MRIs and advanced health screenings—then bring those results back to their US doctors (myself included!). In a world where access to diagnostics is unequal, the question becomes: how can individuals better own and act on their personal health data? 🏨 Wellness is becoming lifestyle infrastructure. Social wellness clubs and integrative medical retreats are rising fast. In Asia, hotels are not just accommodations—they’re places to restore, reset, and invest in one’s health. This mindset shift is creating new formats for hospitality, clinics, and consumer services. 🌟 Innovation > celebrity. While celebrity-backed brands bring distribution and word-of-mouth, they rarely survive without true innovation at the core. Longevity products that scale will need to be science-backed, tech-enabled, and continually evolving. 🇸🇬 Singapore could be the world’s longevity testbed. With its robust healthcare system, aging population, and openness to innovation, it’s already attracting clinical pilots, wellness tourism, and consumer health startups.
