Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta flagged-off JBM ECOLIFE electric buses yesterday in New Delhi, as part of DEVi (Delhi Electric Vehicles Interconnection) project aimed at deepening last-mile connectivity, improving commuter convenience and strengthening the city’s progress towards sustainable and zero emission public transport. With the introduction of these e-buses, JBM Auto now has over 650 electric buses deployed in the National capital region. Following our participation at Middle East Energy Dubai, we at JBM Group were happy to continue the dialogue on sustainable mobility at Clean Transportation Technologies MENA, where we showcased JBM E-Verse—our integrated and future-forward approach to the electric mobility ecosystem. The forum brought together an exceptional group of stakeholders—government authorities, fleet operators, technology innovators, and infrastructure enablers—to exchange pioneering insights and explore emerging trends shaping the next chapter of clean transportation. It was both inspiring and encouraging to witness: • Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) advancing electrification by adopting Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles (HFCVs), and even exploring Level 4 Autonomous Vehicles, signalling a bold step toward fully automated, zero-emission transit systems. • Public Transport Operators (PTOs) and fleet managers reimagining last-mile connectivity through Bus-on-Demand services and data-driven shared mobility models—catalyzing greater efficiency, flexibility, and commuter convenience. • OEMs and tech leaders leveraging AI, IoT, edge computing, and big data analytics to engineer safer, smarter, and more energy-optimized transport solutions, while addressing the all-important challenge of achieving sustainable Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). • Charging infrastructure developers and leasing companies sharing their real-world experiences in improving asset utilization, increasing uptime, and supporting scalable deployment of electric fleets. Alongside the opportunities, the forum also shed light on critical challenges—particularly around regulatory aspect, infrastructure development, and the pace of institutional adaptation. A clear consensus emerged: for this mobility shift to be both scalable and sustainable, it will require synergistic collaboration between government bodies and private sector pioneers. The exchange of knowledge, alignment of policies, and forging of strategic partnerships will be central to accelerating progress while navigating complexities. This first of a kind partnership will provide real-world insights into the performance and resilience of electrified transport in a high-demand urban environment, accelerating cost effective and clean transport in Indian cities. Celebrating 12 months of building Vertelo ! What an incredible journey its been so far, especially when you are out there building something that no one has done before. That in itself is frankly the greatest motivation driving me and the team, and every passing month as a new relationship is formed, a new customer is onboarded, that journey from a distant dream to a ground reality is becoming clearer. Last night marked our first anniversary, and the first is always special. A lot of our valued business partners and customers made the evening so so special for us.
