We’re launching our first Mini-Hackathon at Just Hack It — with Uayki (uayki.org)! At Just Hack It, we believe that data and technology should be used for the common good: to empower communities, unlock opportunities, and drive solutions to real challenges. That’s why on February 1st, we’re hosting our first Mini-Hackathon, in collaboration with Uayki (uayki.org) an organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide and empowering underserved communities by providing access to education, culture, and opportunities through innovative, low-cost technology solutions. Uayki’s technology enables communities with limited or no internet access to connect to a rich digital ecosystem of educational content, tools, and resources all offline and customizable. 📍 What this Mini-Hackathon is about 🔹 Explore how data can be used for social impact 🔹 Design solutions that address education, inclusion, empowerment 🔹 Build prototypes with purpose, ethics, and community focus 🔹 Collaborate with like-minded makers, thinkers, and doers This is about hacking meaningful problems and co-creating solutions that can improve people’s lives today. #JustHackIt #Uayki #DataForGood #MiniHackathon #TechForImpact #DigitalInclusion #Hackathons2026

People using data and AI to create real social impact.
About us
Just Hack It is a non-profit, volunteer-driven initiative bringing together data scientists, data engineers, and AI practitioners to tackle real-world social challenges. We organize small, focused hackathons and short data-driven projects in collaboration with non-profit organizations to explore problems, build data pipelines, analyze data, and prototype actionable solutions. Depending on the context, projects may involve data analysis, machine learning, AI experimentation, or data engineering, always guided by real needs and real constraints. Some hackathon projects may evolve into independent social initiatives, while others remain non-profit or open-source collaborations. Our focus is on experimentation, learning, collaboration, and creating meaningful social impact through data and AI.
