A build fails at 2am. Nobody gets paged. Claude picks it up automatically. It reads the console logs, traces the test failures, checks the git history, then re-checks its own analysis before publishing. Root cause lands in Jenkins, the dashboard, and Teams. Under 3 minutes. This is one of the ways we run engineering at Oddbit. We wire Claude directly into our CI/CD pipeline so failure analysis is not a manual job anymore. If your team is still triaging failed builds by hand, we can help you set this up. Link in first comment. #Oddbit #Claude #CICD #DevOps #AIProductivity #SoftwareDevelopment

A year ago, this codebase had 12 unit tests. Today it has 1,244. That's one number from a dedicated Oddbit team on an enterprise product. Backend tests 12 → 1,244. Mobile 304 → 1,176. Field issues 43 → 5. Re-open rate 47% → 19%. One team. One year. Daily discipline. If your product needs a team that builds like this, talk to us. A senior developer in Indonesia choosing between a big-tech role and a small studio is choosing between two different shapes of career. Big-tech here means Gojek, Tokopedia, Traveloka, Blibli. Strong engineering teams, defined ladders, comfortable benefits, and a part of a system that runs whether you are there or not. A boutique studio like Oddbit means a different deal. The system runs because you are there. The architecture call you make on Tuesday affects a client's roadmap on Friday. The bug you ship is yours to debug. The plugin you publish on pub.dev carries your name. Neither path is better in the abstract. They optimize for different things. Big-tech is the right move if you want compensation predictability, broad mentorship, and a clear promotion timeline. A studio is the right move if you want technical scope, real ownership, and exposure to international clients earlier in your career than the corporate ladder would allow. If the second shape sounds like the version of your career you are missing, send us a DM. #Oddbit #IndonesiaTech #EngineeringCareers #BaliJobs #SoftwareEngineering

We turn down roughly half the projects that reach us. Not because we are too busy. Because we are honest about what we build well. We say no when the project is a thin wrapper on someone else's product. We say no when the client wants a junior team they can micromanage, because that is not what they are paying senior rates for. We say no when the timeline assumes engineers ship at 3x normal velocity. We say no when the technical bet seems wrong and the founder is not willing to discuss it. The ones we take on, we own. End to end. From the first architecture call to the final handover. If your project is in the half we would say yes to, the conversation is short and we can both tell within one call. Send us a DM. #Oddbit #SoftwareDevelopment #StartupCTO #ProductDevelopment #EngineeringStudio

"Senior" in the Indonesian tech market has stopped meaning much. Title inflation is real, salary bands stretch wider every year, and a candidate with three years of experience often shares a title with someone who has ten. Here is what senior actually means at Oddbit. You can own a feature from the architecture decision to the production deploy without supervision. You can read a Slack message from a client and decide whether it needs a code change, a clarification, or a no. You can disagree with a teammate's design and make the case for an alternative without it becoming personal. You can debug a production issue you did not write, in a part of the stack you do not love, and not panic. Years of experience help. They do not guarantee any of the above. If those four things describe you, the conversation is short. Send us a DM. #Oddbit #IndonesiaTech #EngineeringCareers #SeniorDeveloper #SoftwareEngineering

Clients do not pay us for lines of code. They pay us for the calls we make. Which database fits the read pattern. When to roll our own auth and when to use a managed service. Whether to add a queue or refactor the write path. The third-party API that looks fine in the demo and breaks at 50,000 users. The code is the artifact. The judgment is the work. Nine years and 50+ projects in, we have learned to make those calls quickly, and to tell clients when the call we would make is "do not build this yet." If you are picking an engineering partner for something that matters, that is the difference worth checking for. Send us a DM and we will tell you the calls we would make for your project. #Oddbit #SoftwareEngineering #StartupCTO #ProductDevelopment #TechLeadership

Our team is in Denpasar. Our clients are in Stockholm, Berlin, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, and Sydney. That mix shapes the work in real ways. The code you ship on Wednesday gets reviewed in a different time zone on Thursday. The product calls you make get scrutinized by founders who have raised real money and need real outcomes. The architecture decisions you defend get questioned by CTOs in six different markets, each with their own assumptions. It is not a comfortable job. The pace is real, the standards are real, and the feedback loop is short. What you get in return is exposure most Indonesian developers never get from a domestic role. Real product work for funded companies across the Nordics, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific. Real ownership. Real technical scope. If you are a senior Flutter, Firebase, or Cloudflare engineer in Indonesia who wants that kind of work, we should talk. #Oddbit #IndonesiaTech #SoftwareEngineering #BaliJobs #TechCareers

Senior engineers update their beliefs. Here are three calls we have reversed at Oddbit in the last 18 months. 1. We argued for D1 over KV on Shrtnr, then put KV back as a write-through cache. Redirect latency fell 10x. 2. We default to Riverpod for new Flutter projects. We used to default to Bloc, and we know that opinion is unfashionable. 3. We stopped recommending self-hosted analytics for clients under 50 employees. The maintenance cost is real and Cloudflare Workers Analytics covers most use cases for free. The lesson sitting under all three: there is no shame in changing your mind in public. The cost of holding a position past its expiry date is bigger than the embarrassment of revising it. Picking infrastructure for your next product? Here is a stack we run in production for zero dollars a month. Cloudflare Workers. D1. Three auth systems for humans, scripts, and AI agents. Real client traffic on it. We built this for ourselves. Now we build the same kind of edge-first architecture for clients who want production speed without an AWS bill at the end of the month. If you are at the architecture-decision stage, the write-up is in the first comment. If you would rather skip the article and have a real conversation about what you are building, send us a DM. We would rather show our work than tell you about it. #Oddbit #CloudflareWorkers #EdgeComputing #SoftwareArchitecture #StartupCTO

We don't have a content marketer. Or an SEO strategy. Or a content calendar. Just engineers and operators writing about what we actually argued about that week. Five pieces so far. Real numbers, real tradeoffs, real things we got wrong. If that sounds more useful than another "5 trends in 2026" listicle, we'd love your eyes on it.
