We just hired our first ever full time employee at OphthoGenie! For months, my co-founder Dr. Nora Muakkassa, our CTO Sahil S., and I have been squeezing Ophthogenie into every spare moment. Early in the mornings before work, late at night after the kids were asleep, weekends in between laundry and meal prepping for the week. As fun as it was staying up late working, we knew it was time to bring someone on to help us out. So, we decided to bring on Tabitha B. Sahil led her interview, and the second it ended he sent a message in our group chat: “I just met the best candidate.” He was right. Even before her official start date, Tabitha jumped in to help with backend work. While we’ve been sending Ophthocards to Google Play and the App Store (and working through all the inevitable revisions), she was already setting up flashcards and streamlining the process. She has exceeded our expectations from day one, and thanks to her, we’re on track to launch faster than we thought. Welcome to the team, Tabby. We’re so excited to be building this with you!
