About us
At Layer5, we champion developer-defined infrastructure, giving engineers the power to reshape application delivery. We empower operators in reimagining how they manage modern infrastructure: collaboratively. We believe innovation is furthered by collaboration and that collaboration is enabled by infrastructure. Layer5 encourages organizations to view their infrastructure through a fresh lens, constantly asking, "What have you done for me lately?" Our suite of multi-cluster, multi-cloud infrastructure management products, with open source projects at their core, form the bedrock of our offerings. Our cloud native application and infrastructure management software enables organizations to expect more from their infrastructure.

Meshery v1.0 arrived at #kubecon and Sean M. Kerner nailed something in his Networkworld coverage that deserves its own spotlight. Currently, AI isn't solving the infrastructure management problem - it's compounding it. Teams were already drowning in YAML sprawl, configuration drift, and tribal knowledge that walks out the door every time someone changes jobs. Now, LLMs generate infrastructure configurations faster than any team can meaningfully review them. The bottleneck was never a shortage of configuration. It is a shortage of comprehension. Speed without comprehension is just chaos.

I've been a fan of the great work Lee Calcote has been doing in the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) (and elsewhere) for years. Was great to connect with him on the big Meshery 1.0 release. This is one of the most active cloud-native open source projects and it could have transformational impact.

Earned my "Design Pioneer" badge from Layer5! 🎉 First design contributions to the Meshery ecosystem - working on cloud native infrastructure patterns and service mesh configurations. The community here is exceptional. Lee Calcote,Yash Mahakal , Kavitha Karunakaran, RaunaK Madan and the entire team have built something special - a place where feedback actually helps you learn, not just pass review. Biggest takeaway: good design = understanding deployment contexts and real-world user needs, not just writing code. To anyone on the fence about contributing to CNCF: just start. The community is more welcoming than you expect. Level 2, here I come! 💪 #OpenSource #CNCF #CloudNative #Meshery #Layer5 #ServiceMesh #Kubernetes

It was great collaborating with a Meshery maintainer Aabid Sofi and Lee Calcote at Layer5 - authoring a blog post that shows how to turn Compose files into Kubernetes and multi-cloud designs you can deploy and operate in @Docker Desktop—visualize, test, and debug in one UI. https://lnkd.in/gGMhXr9M
