Ever leave a meeting thinking, “That should have been a decision, not another update”? (Don't roll your eyes, lol ) It’s not because you didn’t prepare. It’s because leaders speak in numbers, not narratives. Here’s the thing. Executives live and breathe a few weekly metrics. Revenue. Costs. Retention. If your point doesn’t tie to those numbers they track every Monday, you’ve already lost them. What changes the meeting in your favor: • Start with the number they already track. “This could reduce our churn by 5% this quarter…” • Call out the obvious pushback yourself. “I know budget is tight, but here’s how we make it work with existing resources…” • Hand them a line they can copy into an email or Slack to their boss. Make it effortless to champion your idea. Quick example: Don’t do “We should add another step to our process.” Try this: “Our cycle time is 10% above industry average. If we adjust the review step, we can close the gap this quarter without adding headcount.” See the difference? Same idea, but now it lands in the language that moves decisions forward. I’ll break down the full 5-step LATTE framework live in my Lightning Lesson on Maven. You’ll leave with a Meeting Map you can use to prep in 30 minutes or less. Details→ https://lnkd.in/eJzMUSAT
