Some moments are even more engaging with added depth. 🏈 Leia’s Switchable-Display Hardware lets viewers move between standard viewing and a 3D experience on the same display, giving them more flexibility in how they experience their favorite content. For sports and entertainment, that means added depth when it enhances the moment, with the ability to switch back whenever it doesn’t. Immersive Experiences on Any Device
About us
Leia Inc. designs, develops, and licenses a technology platform that provides immersive experiences to virtually any device, allowing users to feel part of the scene. Immersive experiences are the foundation of Spatial Intelligence, the next generation of AI, where digital content blends naturally with the physical world. Leia's technology combines Spatial AI Software and Switchable-Display Hardware that either displays or projects immersive content, with only the push of a button. Leia's technology can be seamlessly embedded in any device, from phones to tablets to laptops to monitors. On standard devices, Motion adds depth through dynamic perspective shifts, making you feel closer to the scene. On Leia devices, Holo projects true holographic depth, creating a lifelike 3D effect that makes you feel part of the scene, almost inside it. Leia's technology is available in the market, on devices from several major brands, with more coming soon. Leia Inc. was founded in 2014 by Dr. David Fattal, a world-renowned physicist from Stanford University. In 2023, Leia acquired Dimenco and Royal Philips' 3D patent portfolio, bringing the patent portfolio to over 1,600 patents. The company is based in Silicon Valley, with offices in New Hampshire, the Netherlands, and China, and employs over 200 associates globally.

For World Sight Day, we gave the Leia team a simple depth perception challenge using just one eye. With both eyes open, each eye sees the same scene from a slightly different angle, and your brain uses those two views to help judge depth and distance. Closing one eye removes that binocular cue, which makes positioning an object in space a little harder. It’s the same basic principle behind stereoscopic display technology, where distinct left and right eye views are used to create the perception of added depth on screen. A simple challenge, but a good reminder of how much our sense of depth depends on our eyes and brain working together. #WorldSightDay #DepthPerception #StereoscopicDisplay #GlassesFree3D #DisplayTechnology #LeiaInc

Imagine being able to explore a product with a better sense of shape, proportions, and detail before making a purchase. Leia’s technology can bring added depth to 3D product models, giving shoppers a more visual and informative way to understand what they’re considering. For OEMs, it’s a practical way to add new value to the display while supporting richer ecommerce experiences. #Ecommerce #RetailTechnology #GlassesFree3D #DisplayTechnology #OEM #LeiaInc

The latest announcement from XREAL and Google is another sign of how quickly spatial computing is moving from concept to real-world products. As new form factors emerge, the bigger opportunity is not just where spatial experiences live, but how easily people can access them across the devices they already use. Wearables are one path. Devices with spatial capability built directly into the hardware are another. What’s becoming clear is that depth and dimensionality are becoming a bigger part of how we interact with digital content, and the industry is still defining the best ways to deliver that experience. For Manufacturing Month, we’re highlighting how engineers can use Leia’s technology to better understand complex designs before they become physical products. By bringing depth to digital models, engineers can explore components, assemblies, and spatial relationships more intuitively throughout the design process, making complex information easier to visualize, evaluate, and work with. #ManufacturingMonth #Engineering #GlassesFree3D #DisplayTechnology #SpatialComputing #LeiaInc

The Click that Drives Clinical Adoption Most medical software doesn't lose because the science is wrong. It loses because it lives one click too far from the doctor. I build medical imaging software for a living, and the sentence above took me longer to accept than I would like to admit. The electronic health record (EHR) is the doctor's dashboard. Medications, appointments, imaging studies — it all runs through EHR software solutions built by Epic Systems, Oracle Health, and others to consolidate a patient's history into a single secure location. It is the backbone of hospital IT, and more to the point, it is where the clinical day actually happens. If your software technology is not in that day, it is not in the hospital. This is the part young medical companies underestimate. We obsess over the algorithm, the regulatory pathway, the interface. Then we assume a surgeon will readily leave the comfort of the EHR and launch a 3rd party application, look up the patient again, and re-authenticate inside a patient consultation already measured in minutes. This is how good ideas end up in the proverbial “cemetery of innovation.” Not refuted; just never opened. Productivity is the real adoption criterion. Clicks must be minimized, cognitive load must be reduced and the inherent value communicated rapidly. Judged that way, EHR integration is not a convenience or a box for IT to tick; it's the price of entry. So Avatar Medical was built for it. Today, our flagship Avatar Medical Vision software launches directly inside the patient's chart in Epic: - Zero Friction: No manual search, no duplicate entry, no application juggling. - Instant Workflow: Standard CT and MRI scans transform into vivid interactive 3D anatomy in seconds — no pre-processing queues or manual segmentation required. - Hardware Integration: Displayed on Barco Eonis glasses-free 3D displays for true depth perception. - Enterprise-Ready: FDA-cleared and CE-marked. The glasses-free 3D display is the part people remember. The single-click EHR-to-Avatar is what delivers it. EHR integration unlocks value for each clinical consultation stakeholder. The surgeon spends the consultation explaining rather than clicking. The patient understands their anatomy in a matter of seconds. The hospital extends the value of the imaging and EHR investments it has already made without maintaining a new software silo. In Crossing the Chasm, Geoffrey Moore refers to “assembling the whole product” as the unglamorous work that turns a compelling technology into an adoptable one. In the hospital, EHR integration is that work. It is not a nice-to-have feature. It is ultimately the key to adoption, and to that end, to the patient. There’s more depth to this chameleon than a recording can capture. 🖥️🦎 Displayed using Glasses Free 3D technology, this ShapeLab model shows how added depth can make detailed 3D content easier to explore and understand directly on a display. Experiences like this demonstrate how new display capabilities can add value to existing 3D content without changing how users naturally interact with the device. #GlassesFree3D #ShapeLab #SwitchableDisplay #DisplayTechnology #LeiaInc

Display innovation is often measured by sharper resolution, faster refresh rates and brighter panels. Switchable-Display Hardware introduces another layer of differentiation: giving a display the flexibility to switch between standard to immersive viewing when depth adds value. For OEMs, it’s a new capability built directly into the display experience. #SwitchableDisplay #DisplayTechnology #GlassesFree3D #LeiaInc

AMD’s move to acquire World Labs is another sign of where AI is headed. As AI gets better at understanding and generating spatial environments, the opportunity expands beyond how that content is created to how it’s experienced across the devices we already use.
