We have automated so much of networking, but getting last-mile connectivity into a new site is STILL an absolute nightmare. Open a new office, warehouse, or retail location and someone still has to: → Find which carriers service the address → Get and compare quotes → Coordinate the install → Chase delays and escalations → Manage the contracts afterward It’s a ridiculous amount of human coordination. That’s why I’ve been paying attention to what Lightyear is doing. They’re using AI agents to handle carrier sourcing and quoting, monitor active installs for delays, and even initiate carrier escalations. They’re doing a live agent demo on September 1st. If enterprise telecom is part of your job, it’s worth seeing. Link to register is below! https://lnkd.in/e_fF73rq P.S. how are you managing your carriers today? #Ad #LightyearPartner

RCR Wireless picked up on what we think is most important about this launch: “The launch does mark a clear philosophical break from the rule-based automation that has defined the category so far.” That distinction matters. The goal isn’t to bolt AI features onto telecom software. It’s to build software that can actually do the work, using the proprietary data, customer context, and workflows we’ve built up over years. That’s what we mean by Telecom’s System of Action. Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/gF5KBy_e

What work can AI agents actually take on in enterprise telecom? Next Tuesday, we’re showing you live. Join Ryan Schrack (Co-Founder & CTO) and Suhith Shivani (SVP of Product) for a live product demo + Q&A featuring Lightyear Dispatch and our first AI agents. You’ll see: → Dispatch answer questions and build custom reports from your network data → The Quoting Agent identify the right carriers and send out an RFP → The Implementation Agent monitor active installs and flag risks before they threaten timelines We’ll also share what’s next for Dispatch and agents across the telecom lifecycle. If you work in telecom, network, or IT operations and want to see what agentic AI looks like when applied to real telecom work, join us live. 🗓 September 1 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET 🔗 Save your spot: https://lnkd.in/gNqHpDZ8 Can’t make it live? Register anyway and we’ll send you the recording. #AI #EnterpriseIT #Telecom #LightyearEvents

Spend less time digging through telecom data, chasing bids, and tracking installs manually. Packet Pushers took a closer look at how Lightyear is using Dispatch and AI agents to take on that work, from answering questions about your network to collecting carrier bids and monitoring implementations against milestones. Dennis Thankachan said it best. This launch is a big step toward the company we set out to build: software that doesn’t just help teams manage telecom, but increasingly does the work for them. More on where we’re headed below.
Today, Lightyear gets one step closer to fulfilling its vision as we become the first agentic platform for enterprise telecom. Our founding vision for Lightyear was to build The Telecom Operating System: not just telecom workflow software, but software that leveraged the strongest business telecom dataset possible to give you practical insights and eventually, do things for you. The advancement of LLMs has made that vision more viable than ever, especially given the dataset we’ve built. I’m excited to share that Lightyear is now Telecom’s System of Action: a system of AI agents, software, and proprietary data that manages your telecom lifecycle. Today we launch Dispatch, the entry point to AI across Lightyear, as well as our first two operational agents: the Quoting Agent and Implementation Agent. This release is the starting point of an exciting new direction for us. We'll be adding material functionality to Dispatch, continuously improving our agents, and launching a series of agents to cover the full telecom lifecycle in short order. For more detail on what was released, please read our release blog post: https://lnkd.in/gnTSGRn3 (also, check out the awesome new look on our website when you get a chance! - https://lightyear.ai)

There’s a lot more behind this launch than what you see in the product today. Ryan Schrack gets into what our engineering team built underneath Dispatch and our first agents, and how that foundation will let us keep expanding what agents can do across Lightyear.
We’ve been giving our own team AI superpowers. Today, we’re starting to hand them to our customers. We’re launching Dispatch, our new AI interface for Lightyear, alongside our first two operational agents: the Quoting Agent and Implementation Agent. With this launch, Lightyear becomes the first agentic platform for enterprise telecom. What excites me most as CTO is what sits underneath these releases. We didn’t just build a few agents. Our engineering team built the architecture to enable our team to rapidly create, tune, and deploy purpose-built agents across the Lightyear platform. That foundation is already creating enormous operational leverage inside Lightyear. Now, it will let us deliver new capabilities to customers at a completely different pace. This is where our proprietary data, technology, and execution start compounding into a real industry advantage. Lightyear is becoming telecom’s System of Action: software that doesn’t just inform the work, but helps you execute it. These first agents are just the beginning, and much more is coming quickly. If building cutting-edge AI applications for complex, real-world problems sounds exciting, we’re hiring! See more details in the comments below!

Procurement Magazine took a closer look at why enterprise telecom is such a compelling use case for agentic AI: a $1T+ category where sourcing, installing, and managing services still involves an enormous amount of manual work. The piece gets into what Lightyear’s agents are taking on today, the data and workflows behind them, and where we’re headed across the telecom lifecycle. The first agentic platform for enterprise telecom is here. Join Ryan Schrack (Co-Founder & CTO) and Suhith Shivani (SVP of Product) on September 1 for a live demo of Lightyear Dispatch and our first AI Agents. You'll see how to turn a prompt into a full renewal analysis, get more qualified carrier bids faster, and catch install risks before they stall your rollout. 🗓️ Save your spot: https://lnkd.in/gNqHpDZ8 If you can't make it live, we’ll send you the recording so you can see Dispatch and the AI Agents on your own time. Great coverage from Fierce Network on Lightyear’s new agentic platform and how AI agents are helping enterprises get more qualified carrier bids faster and shorten network installation timelines. Thanks to Mitch Wagner for the thoughtful write-up.
Lightyear launched an agentic AI platform that sources and install network services with far less human oversight than previously required. Here's what you need to know. https://lnkd.in/d-sGD5WT
