Last week, we were on the ground in Augsburg for AIRTEC | 22-24 OCT 2025 | MESSE AUGSBURG. It was an insightful experience with plenty of exciting developments across the eVTOL sector! Here’s what we learned. Hydrogen played a big role at the show, with strong focus on its integration into both conventional and hybrid eVTOL solutions. A standout innovation was Zuri and their interesting hybrid system, utilizing SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) to target an impressive 700km range. Even more exciting, they’ve built a vertical flight demonstrator for under $1.5M—we’re eager to see their next iterations! POLARIS Spaceplanes also showed steady progress, advancing through demonstrator iterations and testing their in-house aerospike engine—heading towards their final vehicle design. Meanwhile, ERC System, one of the few non-air-taxi eVTOL companies, is making headway with partnerships and full-size demonstrators, with a focus on medical transport.
