A small office moment turned into a fun lil data project: A newly hired engineer requested CELSIUS on our weekly Costco order, sparking a conversation about safe caffeine consumption (each can packs 200+mg). I used Figma Make to vibe-code a real-time caffeine tracking dashboard for our kitchenette. part safety check, part just looking for something to test out another AI design tool. After ~6 weeks and 14 iterations, we’ve gathered some fascinating (and slightly alarming) insights with M. Gabriel Denton currently topping the leaderboard by about 800mg. Now that we’ve got a solid dataset, I’m wondering what the next step is: ☕ Visualization trends over time? 🏅 Rewards for hitting caffeine goals? 📈 Correlate with productivity metrics? 😅 Or just let the leaderboard chaos continue? Want to add your name to our caffeine tracker ☕️📈? Momentic is hiring 👉 https://lnkd.in/gjkZFzUB

So apparently LinkedIn has a new national sport: posting about Vibium… and yes, I’ve joined the game too 🤓 Never heard of it? Don’t worry — by the end of today, your feed will explain it at least 57 times. For the uninitiated: Vibium is Jason Huggins’ (yep, the Selenium & Appium guy) new AI-powered test automation framework. ✨ Why the hype? 🤖 Write tests in plain English 🛠️ “Self-healing” tests that don’t panic when a button moves 3 pixels 🌍 Open-source & community-driven vibes Sounds awesome, right? Except… 👉 Vibium isn’t even properly out yet. No docs. No official site. No stable release. 👉 Yet somehow, people are already “certified” in it (from where? still a mystery 😂). 👉 And recruiters have started vibing with “Vibium experience required.” 👏 At this point, Selenium and Playwright should probably take a vacation — LinkedIn has already declared Vibium the chosen one. 🏆 🔥 Exciting vision, yes. But let’s stay patient and grounded — the real fun begins when we can actually test it hands-on. #Vibium #Automation #AITools #QATesting #LinkedIn #OpenSource

Momentic just launched Mobile - a huge step forward in bringing natural language testing to iOS and Android apps. Mobile makes end-to-end testing for native apps as seamless as it is for the web. Teams can now: - Write tests in plain English that auto-heal without duplicate IDs or brittle selectors - Run tests on blazing fast emulators. 1s start up and 200ms interaction delay - Handle WebView-heavy apps with intelligent context switching between native and web context Congrats Wei-Wei W., Jeff An, and the team on the launch! You can see it in action or join the private beta at momentic.ai/mobile.

  • If you hate Appium or XCUITest you should definitely check this out (I know you do and if you don't you're lying to yourself) https://momentic.ai/mobile

I TOLD U LAST DAY OF LAUNCH WEEK WOULD BLOW YOUR MIND Mobile testing is slow, flaky, and expensive. Timeouts every where. WebView context switching sucks. Emulators are slow af. Today we’re launching Momentic Mobile to change all that. Write tests in plain English. Upload an IPA or APK. Run on blazing fast emulators. Get instant feedback. Finally reliability you can trust. Highlights: → ~1s emulator cold start → ~1s app install → ~200ms cached interactions → Native + WebView auto context switching → Zero instrumentation needed Momentic already powers hundreds of millions of interactions every month across hundreds of thousands of screens. Now your apps get the same attention. Link in the comments to join our private beta, or reach out directly if you hate Appium or XCUITest (I know you do).

Forget code quantity. The real edge is total confidence in every release, the moment it goes live. Software’s future is not measured by code volume but by immediate and reliable trust in every release. As AI drives rapid code output, teams now face a new challenge: the pace of code delivery is becoming limitless, but human QA capacity is not. No one grows up wanting to be a QA! Most testing solutions simply move the bottleneck, requiring someone to write and maintain an endless stream of tests. Momentic takes a different approach. Their AI does more than generate tests. It learns your product, adapts to every change, and continuously validates your entire user journey without manual effort. I talk about why they solve such a critical problem for businesses during my podcast with Andrew Yeung a few weeks ago. This is why teams at Notion, Webflow, Retool, and others rely on Momentic for end-to-end testing to let their engineers focus on what they do best - ship product! Testing, reimagined for the era of AI. Congrats on the week of launches Jeff An and Wei-Wei W.

Launch week day 4: Failure recovery Don’t let transient issues fail your tests. Momentic tests automatically recover from transient UI and network issues so only real regressions reach your team. End-to-end tests often fail for reasons you do not control: latency spikes, third-party banners, or a surprise marketing modal. Nothing in your product is actually broken, yet CI turns red and your engineers get inundated with noise. Failure recovery filters out this noise by letting our autonomous agent get a failing test back on track without changing the original intent. 1. 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼-𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆: When a step fails, Momentic analyzes the browser state, understands the original intent, performs the minimal fix, then retries the original action and assertion. 2. 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Add guidance like “If a marketing dialog appears, close it and continue” to define what counts as recoverable in your app. Real world applications are dynamic and so should be your tests. You describe the outcome you want. Our agents plan, act, recover from noise, and keep tests aligned with what you actually care about. — Shoutout to our CTO Jeff An , this has gone through countless iterations over many months to get to where it is today. Stay tuned for tomorrow... something 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 is coming! Full blog post in the comments 👇

Launch week day 3: my dog Toast isn't she cute 🥰 jk it's Suggestions & our GitHub app Momentic's AI now scans every execution to keep you tests always up to date. Tests often fail when there's drift between the automation and the application under test. Even though Momentic's intent-based locators can adapt a wide range of scenarios, keeping assertions and descriptions up to date is still of vital importance. With just a few clicks, you can have Momentic review your pull requests, surface relevant test execution context, and suggest precise edits you can apply with one click. Say goodbye to constant test updates and hello valuable time back. Keep an eye out for the rest of launch week... something 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚 is coming Friday! Full blog post in the comments 👇

Vibe coding —> vibe testing. The new Momentic Copilot + local MCP server is the quickest way to build and scale end-to-end software tests. It’s been a pleasure working with the Momentic team. Looking forward to helping them scale with Claude as they redefine how teams approach reliability! _____________________ “Today we're super excited to launch Momentic's Copilot + MCP. Now, developers can create and maintain Momentic tests from the comfort of their own IDE -- all in the time it takes to brew a cup of coffee. We're proud to launch this feature fully powered by Anthropic. Claude Opus 4 is the core of our Copilot agent. It impressively handles the 20+ tools we need to operate a headless browser, edit files on local disk, understand the user's codebase, and construct Momentic steps from simple clicks to complex drag-and-drops. Huge thanks to the Anthropic team for supporting us along the way!”

Launch week day 2: Quarantine Velocity shouldn’t stall because one noisy test. Triage and isolate failing tests so engineers keep merging and shipping. Flaky tests, unstable features, and third-party dependencies delay merges, block deploys, and page on-call. Managing test reliability at scale is hard. Building a custom quarantine system takes a whole dev platform team. With Quarantine, granular control is at your fingertips: 1. 1-click quarantine 2. Custom thresholds and rules 3. Instant alerts and notifications via Slack Everything you need to make sure your tests and pipelines are healthy. Some production use cases so far: → Unblocking PRs when there's a flaky test → Isolate tests around an actively changing area of the product → Automatic guardrails when tests meet certain conditions All out of the box with Quarantine. — Shoutout to Henry for smashing this project out of the park. Stay tuned for the rest of launch week... something 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘 is coming Friday! Full blog post in the comments 👇
