What an incredible start to the week here at Matalan as we celebrated our annual Thrive Awards 2025. The glittering event saw colleagues from all over the business come together to celebrate some truly incredible achievements. We honoured our Team of the Year, our ESG Champion, our Rising Star of the organisation and our Extraordinary Hero of the Year and many, many more. We celebrated our charity partnerships and we also acknowledged 40 of our longest serving colleagues who truly embody the spirit of Matalan. Between them they have a staggering 500 years of service! A special mention must go to our longest serving employee, Janice Robinson, from our Preston store who has spent a whopping 44 years here at Matalan with us! It was a phenomenal evening where we celebrated all of those who live the true values of Matalan, and what better year to do it than during our 40th anniversary year. A huge congratulations to all of the worthy nominees, finalists and winners. It was certainly a night to remember!

And someone who’s been with us from day one is the amazing Janice ❤️ Janice was one of the very first people to step into our very first store in Preston back in 1985, and she’s still here, making a difference every day - with no plans to stop anytime soon!
