About us
Major League Hacking (MLH) is a 500k+ global member community empowering the next generation of developers to learn through hackathons and the Open Source MLH Fellowship. MLH partners with software engineering, human capital management, Open Source, and DevRel leaders who wish to support the developers of tomorrow. Is that you? Start a conversation and learn more at https://sponsor.mlh.io/ The MLH Open Source Fellowship is a remote 12-week, stipended internship alternative. Diverse and highly-deserving early-career software engineers pair with companies doing their part to sustain Open Source software, including Meta, GitHub, AWS, G-Research, Mathworks, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and more. The independent jurists of the DevRel Awards recognized the MLH Fellowship with the distinction for "Best Developer Education Initiative." Fellow alumni have had their contributions merged into noteworthy Open Source projects and have gone on to work for the most well-regarded software companies. Learn more: https://fellowship.mlh.io/partners In addition to the MLH Fellowship, MLH powers over 200 weekend-long invention competitions as the official student hackathon league every year. These inspire innovation, cultivate communities, and teach computer science skills to more than 500,000 worldwide. Want to participate? Start here: https://mlh.io/event-membership B Corp MLH has been a community-first, mission-driven organization from the beginning. We measure our success by the number of hackers we empower, and we want to keep it that way. That's why we made it official and became a Certified B Corporation in 2016. B Corps are for-profit enterprises legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their community, not just their shareholders. Learn more: https://mlh.io/about

✨ We’re so inspired by two Major League Hacking teams who went from hackathon project to the GitHub Universe keynote stage. Both started at nwHACKS 2025, live on Devpost, and built with heart. They’re live on Devpost: 🔗Braillearn: https://lnkd.in/e37jEMSV 🔗Crisislens: https://lnkd.in/eNChJW-J

Reflecting on an Inspiring Day at the MLH AI Roadshow - London Had an incredible experience attending the MLH AI Roadshow in London this week! One of the key takeaways that really stuck with me was their discussion around how universities often don’t teach or encourage the use of AI tools, yet they emphasized that tools like AI chatbots should be used to learn, not to copy. They explained that when used responsibly, these tools can accelerate learning, provide flexibility to ask deeper questions, and offer clear, personalised answers, empowering students to understand concepts faster and apply them more effectively. I also had the chance to meet two lovely people, Ricardo Calzada Verduzco and Oritsemisan Meggison, and had such great conversations about our journeys, projects, and goals. Not only did I get hands-on with Google AI Studio and experiment with their latest flagship model, but I also had the chance to meet some truly amazing people from the tech community. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Amit Vadi (Head of Community at Google DeepMind DevX) and Jonathan Gottfried (Co-founder of Major League Hacking). Both shared invaluable advice about standing out in the tech industry, from building impactful projects to communicating your story effectively to recruiters and hiring managers. Their insights on community, creativity, and career growth were genuinely motivating. Events like these remind me why I love being part of this ever-evolving world of technology, learning, connecting, and continuously growing. Huge thanks to Major League Hacking for organising such an inspiring event. Can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned and keep building! #MLH #AIRoadshow #GoogleDeepMind #MachineLearning #AI #SoftwareEngineering #CareerGrowth #Networking #TechCommunity
