Map Camp Workshop, London, 12th November. Wardley Mapping is a way of understanding how technologies, markets, and organisations evolve. We use that understanding to make better strategic choices. If you've never heard of it, these workshops are a good place to start. If you already use it, they're a chance to go deeper and help shape what comes next. We're running the first in a series of workshops on 12th November at Lumiere, London. Sessions cover the fundamentals of mapping, the evolution axis (explored in the WEF's recent Technology Convergence report), common economic patterns, and hands-on exercises. Scenarios range from mapping AI and the future of work to detecting underage magic use, because the best way to learn a tool is to use it on something impossible. These workshops are the start of something larger. They'll feed into online research groups (which have already covered Space and Quantum this year) and ultimately into Map Camp which is returning to Dover on 18th November next year. Current themes are Space, Sovereignty, and AI. However, the workshops and research groups will shape exactly where we go. Ultimately, we intend to re-introduce the week long study tours that Jane and I used to run where we visited interesting companies identified through mapping. But that's for the future.
