Big day for Team MetalBear! 🙌 Two of our teammates took the stage at #KubeCon Atlanta today: - Oshrat Nir moderated an incredible all-women panel to tackle one of the spiciest topics in cloud-native right now: is what we call “security” actually secure or just theater? - Arsh Sharma discussed the importance of foundational computer science concepts in the world of open source by sharing the story behind depstat, an open-source project he helped build and maintain. We couldn’t be prouder to have had them represent the MetalBear crew! If you were at the conference, hopefully you caught their talks and thanks to everyone who stopped by our Booth #1560 to chat!

Hats off to MetalBear for providing my first piece of swag at #KubeCon. I know hotel room keys aren’t technically swag, but I’m counting it and for good reason. It’s no secret that I love Project Sveltos - Kubernetes Multi-Cluster Add-on Operator. Like many cloud-native projects (e.g. ArgoCD) it deploys as a series of small services that all do one thing and do it well. In putting together the demo for my talk on Tuesday with Grace Brickley, there was some debugging of the Sveltos inner workings that I needed to do. I was able to do that, plus end-to-end test a subsequent feature contribution to the Sveltos ecosystem, all because of #mirrord 🤩 It’s no stretch to say that mirrord was an integral part of putting our demo together. If you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend you check it out. (Not a paid promo, I just really appreciate the project and what it can do)
