Survivors trafficked on Backpage or CityXGuide may be eligible for financial compensation. This opportunity could be life-changing. Please share this information with survivors in your network or reach out to those you have supported previously. #SupportSurvivors
🚨 Attention Law Enforcement & Service Provider Partners! Did you work a case or support a survivor of sex trafficking who was advertised on Backpage or CityXGuide? If so, please take a moment to read this - the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has launched a financial compensation program for survivors who were trafficked on these sites. We all have seen and know the trauma and long-term setbacks that come with exploitation. This is a rare and powerful opportunity for survivors to receive the financial support they deserve. 💡 Here’s where we need YOUR help: Many survivors still don’t know this program exists or that they qualify. The application process can feel out of reach, which is why I helped launch the Backpage Survivor Remission Network. Through this network, survivors can be connected with a no-cost attorney to guide them through the process. While an attorney is not required to submit a petition, they can help survivors with confirming eligibility, tracking down old receipts, identifying licensed providers to develop the future treatment plans, and filing the petition! ✅ Survivors qualify even if: - Their trafficking was never reported, investigated, or prosecuted - They don’t have a copy of their ad Please share this with survivors in your network or reach out to those you’ve supported in the past - this opportunity could be life-changing. 🗓 Deadline to file a petition: February 2, 2026 Getting started early will ensure time to gather the necessary documents and submit a strong application. 👉 Learn more and get connected to support: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eqhTVvfE #SupportSurvivors #VictimServices #AntiTrafficking #NCMEC
