We’re excited to announce Mundo’s $20M Series A, led by GreatPoint Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, E12 Ventures, and Next Frontier Capital. Together with our previously unannounced $4M seed round, Mundo has now raised $24M. The past few years have been defined by remarkable progress in reasoning. But reasoning is only one part of intelligence. Before AI can reason, it has to perceive -- to deeply understand the richness of sensory experiences and use that to navigate and interact with the real world. We call this perceptual intelligence. This won’t emerge from scaling models alone, but from giving models novel forms of data, better ways to measure progress, and better ways to improve over time. That’s what we’re building at Mundo. Today, our datasets and evaluations are used by leading AI labs to push the frontier of perceptual intelligence across audio, video, and emerging modalities. This investment will help us accelerate that mission by growing our research, engineering, and operations teams.
