Within NFDI4Biodiversity, a historical dataset of around 5,500 records was digitised and turned into a valuable baseline for understanding biodiversity change. It strengthens teamwork, supports structured workflows, and helps to reliably secure research results. The #EOSC Federation Build-up Group is meeting in person in Karlsruhe, Germany, today and tomorrow to take stock of the operational progress of the EOSC Federation and prepare for the EOSC Symposium 2026 — an important milestone that will mark the Federation’s transition into operations. The meeting is hosted by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), at the invitation of the #German EOSC Node and its coordinating organisation, National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) together with the EUDAT EOSC Node. The discussions provide an important opportunity to assess progress, address remaining priorities, and strengthen coordination across the Federation as we move towards the next phase of EOSC.
