How do cells sort through a noisy mix of molecular signals and decide what to do next? Professor Krishna Shrinivas and collaborators developed theoretical models showing that biomolecular condensates, dynamic droplets that form inside cells, may help distinguish between different chemical cues and trigger different biological responses.
