The Real-Time Customer Context Layer for AI

About us

Start a free trial: snowplow.io/get-started/snowplow-free-trial Snowplow is the real-time customer context layer that transforms raw behavioral data into customer context for AI agents, personalization engines, and advanced analytics. Companies like Experian, AutoTrader, Strava, Condé Nast, and HelloFresh use Snowplow to collect and process event-level data in real time, delivering it securely to their warehouse, lake, or stream, without the engineering complexity of building and maintaining their own data infrastructure. Snowplow Signals gives AI agents the live behavioral context they're missing, so they can understand what a customer is doing and adapt in the moment. Snowplow's event tracking runs on more than 2 million websites and applications globally, processing over one trillion events per month. Learn more at snowplow.io.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 2 → 12:00, Data Engineering Theatre. Weighing up whether to build identity resolution yourself? Autotrader's Fiona Pye, Richard Wilmer and Bethanie Garfin have done both. They'll show you where their in-house Spark Streaming setup held up, where it fell over, and how it measured up against Snowplow Identities on live production traffic. Same stand demos, same times. We look forward to seeing you over the next couple of days!

It’s that time of year again – the Conductrics team is hitting the road! ✈️ Next week, our travels bring us back to London, and we are kicking things off at the Big Data LDN conference. We are thrilled to be joining our partners at Snowplow on their stand. We'll be on-site showing how Conductrics builds predictive audiences using real-time Snowplow data. If you are looking for ways to make your data more actionable for your optimization programs, we'd love to walk you through it. If you are heading to the conference, let's connect. Make sure to swing by Stand 78 to see it in action or to talk experimentation with Ezequiel and Matt!

  • We're proud to be a sponsor of MeasureCamp London! 📊 Join us on Saturday, September 26 at etc.venues, 8 Fenchurch Place, for a day of community-led talks and conversations with fellow data and analytics professionals. Catch our on-the-day demo, "Events Out, Context Back In: Instrumenting a First-Party AI Agent," with ‎Jordan Peck, Director of Field Engineering, at 10:20am, right after the opening keynote. Jordan will walk through a live web-app with an embedded chatbot to show why browser-side tracking alone only captures the message in and out, how agents can track their own events for intent detection and reasoning, and how Snowplow Signals feeds that context straight into a model's context window in real time. Look out for the wider Snowplow team throughout the day, and stop by our table to say hi.

  • Want a job where you can point at things and say "I did that"? We're hiring an Operations Associate based in London. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who wants to see how a whole business runs, not just one corner of it. You'll work across Finance, People and Operations on whatever matters most that month, owning projects from start to finish. That means being trusted with problems, not just tasks, and having AI tools at your fingertips from day one so your time goes on the interesting parts. It's a role designed to open doors, which is why we'll fund a professional qualification in whichever direction you choose. Full details and the link to apply are in the comments. Tag someone who'd thrive in this.

  • Speak to most analytics teams and they'll tell you they know exactly what a customer did yesterday. What they can't tell you is what that customer is doing right now. That was fine when the data fed a dashboard. It isn't when it feeds an agent that asks a shopper what they're looking for while they're sat on a product page they've had open for ten minutes. Snowplow's Ryan Biggs will show you the fix to this issue at this year's Big Data LDN. He'll demo a shopping assistant built on Google Gemini that reads what a customer is doing on the site as they do it, so it stops asking questions they've already answered and starts recommending what they're actually looking at. 📍 Streaming Analytics & Decision Automation Theatre 🗓 Wednesday 23 September, 12:00–12:30 Add the session to your agenda: https://lnkd.in/dGtfbkV6 Can't make the slot? Ryan and the Snowplow team are on stand P78 across both days.

  • Don't miss our session at Big Data London 👀 Build or Buy: Real-Time Identity Resolution at Autotrader 📅 24 September, 12:00pm 📍 Data Engineering Theatre Add to your calendar: https://lnkd.in/ecT-3ZiU Four years ago, Autotrader built an in-house identity stitching solution to join user activity across mobile web, desktop, and app. It nearly got switched off: too complex, and too few users were actually being stitched together. Then came Buying Signals, Autotrader's product that tells retailers what the people inquiring about their ads are actually in the market for. Suddenly, knowing that two sessions belonged to the same person in real time mattered again, and identity stitching was back on the table. The team ran an experiment on live production traffic: how would their existing Spark Streaming setup hold up against Snowplow Identities? Fiona Pye, Richard Wilmer, and Bethanie Garfin will share what they found, including why real-time graph traversal in Spark is harder than it sounds, and which consumers matter most when it comes to stitching. See you there! #BigDataLDN #IdentityResolution

  • When it comes to CDPs, the infrastructure that worked for the last decade is now mismatched with the buyers, channels, and speeds of the next one. Your buyer now arrives with agents. One researching, one scanning the inbox for offers, one buying. A journey that took weeks happens in milliseconds, across every channel at once. That sets three tests your CDP was never built to pass. Speed, because a batch cycle has already missed the moment. Relevance, because agents filter ruthlessly and a segment of ten thousand doesn't survive the cut. Context, because acting correctly needs a live picture of the customer rather than last month's visit. Gartner predicts that by 2030, 80% of net-new enterprise CDP deployments will be embedded in or composable with data platforms rather than stand-alone. The benefit of this is that your customer picture sits where your data and your AI already run, so campaigns can act on what someone is doing now instead of a delayed copy of it. We believe Databricks CustomerLake, with Snowplow collecting the behavioral data underneath it, is the answer for the evolving buyer. Our latest post covers how the buyer is changing, why today's CDPs fall short, why moving the CDP inside your data platform matters, and what to do before your next renewal. https://lnkd.in/eK4hzqNE

  • Somewhere in your next vendor review, someone is going to ask how the AI in your stack is governed. If you own the behavioral data underneath it, that question lands on you. As of July 21, Snowplow's AI management system is certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023, following an independent third-party audit by Citation ISO Certification Limited. It's worth being precise about what that certifies. It's not a model or feature. It's how we govern AI across its lifecycle: risk assessment, data governance, supplier oversight, and ongoing review rather than a one-time audit. It sits alongside our ISO/IEC 27001 and SOC 2 Type II. What it gives you is supplier assurance evidence. One less vendor to assess from scratch when you're building your own AI governance program. We've written up what's in scope, what isn't, and the questions procurement teams are asking. Link in the comments.

  • 📣 Calling all of the London data community! Once again, Snowplow will be attending and sponsoring this year's Big Data LDN at Olympia London on 23–24 September. You'll find us at stand P78. Come and ask us anything about getting a clear, live picture of what your customers are doing on your website or app, and putting that to work in the tools and AI agents your team is building. We'll have demos running on the stand, plus plenty of goodies to give away! We're also hosting two speaking sessions across the two days, including a presentation from our friends over at Autotrader. More details to follow shortly. Already signed up? Add us to your plan and come and say hello. Not registered yet? Head over to https://lnkd.in/dw4SnWSq We look forward to seeing you there. #BigDataLDN
