Winchester Audio Barn opens with SSL Duality Fuse console, merging vintage soul and modern sound in a purpose - built creative complex and classic car garage. The new studio is the brainchild of Niall Holden, founder of VDC Trading, who, amongst other things, manufactures and distributes Van Damme Cable. Acoustic design of the Audio Barn was provided by Chris Walls of Level Acoustic Design, while technical design and installation were handled by Bill Ward of Langdale Technical Consulting, who will stay involved long-term with the facility. Music industry heavyweight Stuart Bruce has also joined the team as chief engineer and brings a wealth of experience gained from a career that has seen him working and engineering with many of the world’s biggest artists and studios, in a career that goes from Band-Aid to Stevie Wonder with pretty much everyone else in between. Having had the opportunity to use the new console on several sessions as the studio has neared completion, Bruce says, “I just love the sound of it. I like the switchable dual SuperanalogueTM / Variable Harmonic Drive (VHD) mic pre’s. The way you can set up a drum sound, then flip all the mic pre’s and go, ‘Oh, there's another character’ It’s superb, I’m not aware of another console which can do anything like this.” Read the full article here - https://lnkd.in/d6XM4MzY

Solid State Logic announces the appointment of Commercial Audio as its distributor in the Czech Republic and Slovakia regions, effective October 17th, 2025. The company will provide end to end distribution services for SSL and Harrison Audio in both countries, including warehousing, logistics and support. The appointment builds on SSL's existing relationship with Commercial Audio in Poland for nearly 20 years, and will cover ACP (audio creation products) and large format consoles for live, broadcast, and studio. Headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, Commercial Audio is known for its excellence in distribution, systems integration, and project management. The company has recently expanded its reach into Czech Republic and Slovakia with a dedicated team, while enhancing its knowledge base and capabilities. SSL Live delivers Superior Sonic Performance for Nic Tse’s long-awaited return. After 20 years off the road, Hong Kong artist Nic Tse kicked off his comeback in August, answering huge fan demand with a stadium-scale run across China and opening with a first show in the city of Hangzhou. FOH engineer Frankie Hung mixed on an SSL Live L550 Plus, with Fusion and THE BUS+ in the rack. On monitors, the team deployed an SSL Live L550 Plus for the band alongside an L650 for the artist’s IEMs. Huge thanks to Frankie Hung for the images, and to MRT (Shanghai) as the rental company and system provider.

Sports Broadcaster Space City Home Network Upgrades to Solid State Logic System T S300-32 Mixing Platform. Space City Home Network (SCHN) in Houston, Texas, upgraded its audio control room with a Solid State Logic System T S300-32 audio console as the broadcaster continues to build out its Dante network infrastructure. SCHN is a regional sports network that provides coverage of games by the local Major League Baseball and National Basketball Association teams across a five-state area via satellite, cable and OTT providers. The System T S300 32-fader control surface at SCHN is controlling a TE2 Tempest Engine. To interface with the control room’s new and legacy audio equipment, the System T is connected to two Net I/O D64 AES to Dante converters, a pair of Net I/O A32 SSL SuperAnalogue™ line level I/O to Dante and AES 67-based IP network interfaces, and a Net I/O SB i16 SuperAnalogue mic/line to Dante stage box. System T’s market-leading Dante integration was a critical factor in SCHN’s purchase decision. Through previous capital expenditure projects, Chris Frazier, Chief Broadcast Engineer, says SCHN had already installed a variety of Dante-enabled audio signal distribution equipment. “We had a lot of the appliances that we needed but we weren't ready to develop our Dante network until we had the desk here, because it's central to all of what we do.
