Somos Hospitality Group is an ACDBE-certified restaurant operator and developer for emerging brands. Our name, “SOMOS” (we are in spanish) is a promise: a tribute to our Latin American Heritage and to the spirit of hospitality that defines it. We believe in the power great meals have to bring people together and create long-lasting memories. All of SOMOS’ concepts are unique, standalone spaces, sharing our love for hispanic culture to the world through the power of food. Founded in 2019 in Chicago, Illinois, SHG counts with 5 dining concepts (UMMO, Tzuco, Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita), a music lounge (Loft 22) and a festival (El Grito). Exciting new projects are underway in St.Regis (Los Cabos) and Princess Hotel (Acapulco).

This Tuesday we celebrated, for the sixth year in a row, one of the most special traditions our culture has, Dia De Muertos. Here’s a small recap of what that night looked like. A four-course meal consisting of Lobster Corundas, Octopus A La Talla, Carnitas Tacos and our Pumpkin Dessert was crafted in collaboration between our very own Sous-Chef Mauricio Franco from Tzuco and La Lunita’s Chef Marco Colin.
