i've been advocating for proactive alerting for years. so when i met Sherwood and heard about his plans for observability, i was immediately intrigued. as i got to know him, my intrigue turned to respect and admiration. this guy has a chip on his shoulder, he works insanely hard for his customers, and he's a great person to boot. i couldn't be more excited for him and the team to launch today.
Sazabi is a next-generation observability platform designed for fast-moving, AI-native engineering teams. If you're using Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, or Axiom today, you could be moving ten times faster with Sazabi. Legacy observability platforms can’t keep up with the pace of modern AI-driven software development. They take hours or days to set up. They are complex and clunky to use. The alerts they give you are noisy and confusing. They don't work well with agents. Sazabi is what Datadog would look like if it were built in 2026 instead of 2010: - Autonomous alerts that contain all of the relevant context and never misfire. - Effortless agent-driven instrumentation that requires zero code or config changes. - A simple chat-based user experience instead of endless dashboards. And so much more. Sazabi is founded by Sherwood Callaway, a two-time YC founder who previously started the infra and observability teams at Brex. The company is backed by over 100 angels from the world's leading AI and dev tools companies: Vercel, Browserbase, Graphite, OpenAI, Daytona, Replit, Anthropic, LangChain, and more. Congrats on the launch, Sherwood! https://lnkd.in/gxiNX7Cp

Congratulations to Sherwood Callaway and the whole Sazabi team for their launch today at Y Combinator! J2 Ventures is proud to have been Sherwood’s first investor (the company didn’t have a name when we committed on this mountain in San Francisco). Everyday this company is building something amazing with a customer and problem obsession on data observation that has the big dogs (🐶 lol) quaking. Welcome to the world Sazabi ! Last week, we hosted a YC P26 co-working day at Cursor HQ in San Francisco. A packed room of founders spent the day building alongside the Cursor team - sharing ideas, product feedback, and "agent-maxxing" tips. In the afternoon, Cursor's very own Katia Bazzi and Roshan Sadanani gave us an early look at the new Cursor SDK (now live). Jonas Nelle and Nate Schmidt shared insights on how the Cursor's internal software factory works. Sazabi kept the crew well-fed and well-caffeinated throughout, with catered meals and an in-house barista. ☕️ Thank you to everyone who came out and especially to the Cursor team for their hospitality. More soon.
