Established in 2001, Skiddle.com has become one of the UK's market leading live event websites. It is renowned for delivering competition beating, technology focused solutions for promoters, alongside unrivalled choice and usability for consumers. The company first started selling tickets in 2006, having originally been a student what’s on guide that rapidly expanded to cover the whole of the UK and much of mainland Europe. During a time period which has overseen the rise and fall of forums and chatrooms, the evolving presence of social media, and many other technological shifts, Skiddle has remained an industry defining enterprise which has refused to sit still in the face of constant market upheaval. The self-service model of the company remains its USP, with anyone able to sell tickets for any level of event and receive promotional support both electronically and over the phone. All sellers are provided with key analytical data about the demographics of the people purchasing their tickets, and a platform that is used by internationally renowned promoters as varied as Cream, Live Nation, Festival Republic, Mamaco, Ministry of Sound and AMG. Their primary focus is on festivals, live music and clubnights, with a busy editorial section which focuses not only on events for sale on Skiddle, but stories relevant to people interested in each of those spheres. Each month the website welcomes close to 2 million unique users, with well over five million page views. In 2014 Skiddle sold over one million tickets for events ranging from underground club nights and live music tours, to large scale music festivals and globally renowned conferences.
