Excellent Money20/20 representing the Stellar Development Foundation and discussing the impact of #stablecoins in cross border payments in one clear area of product/market fit - humanitarian payments. A decade ago, sending money across borders took days and cost too much for those who needed it most. Today, a mother in Lebanon, a farmer in Kenya, or a student in the Philippines can receive funds instantly. Innovation in stablecoins, digital wallets, and blockchain has transformed humanitarian aid into a global payments lifeline. The humanitarian examples are powerful because they test technology under pressure - when lives literally depend on speed and trust. But what’s really happening underneath isn’t just an aid breakthrough - it’s a payments breakthrough. These are real-world proofs of how blockchain infrastructure can move value anywhere, instantly. SDF has been at the center of that evolution - helping organizations like UNHCR and Oxfam move funds securely using stablecoins, even in regions where banking access is limited. Those same rails that move humanitarian aid today are the rails global enterprises will use tomorrow - for payroll, disbursements, remittances, or settlement. #Stellar is positioned to deliver exceptional value to enterprises of all sizes that operate in global money movement, because Stellar was designed to make money move at the speed of the internet, no matter where it needs to go. Thanks to Lucy Ingham and Shaheen Budhrani for an engaging conversation!

Today, we looked back, as we do each quarter, on our progress at SDF. Q3 was a standout, with growth in RWAs on the network, increased ecosystem participation, and new partnerships. Here’s what stood out for me: - 37% growth in full-time developers on the network. Developer participation is up 70% quarter-over-quarter across hackathons, workshops, and activations. - More than 1 million smart contract invocations on average per day, a 700% increase over Q2. Plus, the number of assets on the network continues to grow. During Q3, we welcomed assets from PayPal, Ondo Finance, Centrifuge, RedSwan Digital Real Estate, MB | Mercado Bitcoin, and more. - $5.4 billion in RWA payment volume this quarter. Payments continue to be the dominant use case, and payments are happening on Stellar. -And finally, according to Chainspect, Stellar is the 4th-most used blockchain by actual activity on the network. These numbers demonstrate how real-world usage powered by Stellar isn’t coming, it’s already here. We’re carrying that momentum into the rest of the year and beyond.
