What made 65% of consumers prefer the new design for Stouffer’s meals over the previous version? Was it the cleaner layout, larger text, or clear protein and portion-size callouts? Maybe it was the expanded taste imagery, with a heaping spoonful to pique consumers’ palates? Turns out: It was all of the above. Several design elements seemed to improve according to consumers. One consumer said, “The bowl of pasta looks more appetizing and delicious,” while another noted, “it's much easier to tell that it's a family-size portion,” and yet another appreciated that “the protein amount is easy to see.” Clearly, the thoughtful, consumer-focused changes have paid off.
