🎃 The scariest part of Halloween isn’t the costumes, it’s what happens to them after. Americans throw away 35 million costumes every year, creating up to 12 million pounds of textile waste. With most Halloween costumes only worn once and 63% of them made up of polyester and plastic, when the night’s over, they don’t just disappear. They end up in landfill, joining the billions of pounds of textiles discarded every year. It’s easy to forget how many of the things we touch, wear, or use are textiles. Not just clothing, but curtains, upholstery, uniforms, and costumes. All of it has a next life if we build the systems to make that possible. This Halloween, it’s worth asking: what if every textile had a plan for what happens next? And if you’re done with yours, join us in sending it on to its next best life through our takeback program with Thousand Fell. https://lnkd.in/eue3sQsP #Halloween #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #Circularity #SuperCircle

$850 billion in returns. That’s the total forecast for 2025, nearly 16% of retail sales, according to NRF’s 2025 Retail Returns Landscape Report released this month. It’s a staggering number, and a reflection of a system built for one-way movement. Returns flow back through the supply chain with limited visibility and few viable outcomes, which means most never make it to their next life. They become waste not by design, but by default. At SuperCircle, we’re building the infrastructure for what comes after the return. We intercept products before they become waste — when returns, damages, or excess inventory fall out of the supply chain — and redirect them to their next best life. It’s how we help the world’s leading retail brands reduce waste, protect margins, and turn end-of-life into a driver of business performance. Because the real opportunity isn’t just in processing returns, it’s in preventing waste before it starts, by designing circular systems that keep products in motion. Circularity came to life at PlanetHAUS during Climate Week NYC last month, and it marked a powerful moment for what’s next. We brought our digital trade-in programs offline for a one-day, in-person experience, showcasing how consumers connect with circular systems. Seeing guests engage firsthand underscored a clear shift: the desire and expectation for brands to build circular pathways is stronger than ever. Our Co-founder and CEO, Chloe Marie Songer, joined two powerful conversations that explored how the next phase of sustainability is about building the infrastructure and business models that make circularity scale. Thank you to James Reinhart of ThredUp and Nisha Dua of BBG Ventures for joining us in bringing this dialogue to the stage. We’re proud to have been part of a day that showed what’s possible when conscious brands come together, making circularity not just achievable, but inevitable. At SuperCircle, we’re building the infrastructure that makes that future real, by powering circularity at scale for the world’s leading brands. Curated by Planet FWD, PlanetHAUS offered a vision of what a truly sustainable future can look and feel like — sophisticated, joyful, and entirely within reach. A special thank you to Julia Collins and the entire Planet FWD team for creating a space that pushed the conversation, and the industry, forward. 🎥 Watch the recap from PlanetHAUS below ↓ #ClimateWeekNYC #PlanetHAUS #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #SuperCircle

This Climate Week NYC, we held a special edition of our Salon Series, bringing together an incredible room of thinkers, doers, and changemakers to talk about circularity in fashion and beyond. A huge thank you to our panelists, - Chloe Marie Songer, Co-Founder and CEO at SuperCircle & Thousand Fell - Dylan Siegler, SVP, Head of Sustainability at Universal Music Group - Tara Maurice, Sustainability and Circularity Strategy at Coach & Educator at Parsons School of Design - The New School & School of Visual Arts for a powerful conversation that illuminated the importance of embedding circularity into core business strategy. The call was clear: it’s time to move beyond pilot programs and sustainability framing, and instead recognize circularity as the driver of resilience, value, and long-term growth that it is. Most of all, the night reminded us that circularity is both a collective challenge and a collective opportunity. Progress depends on aligning culture, consumers, and business strategy, and building systems that make participation seamless and scalable. Thank you to everyone who joined us; your energy and ideas are what make these conversations come alive. We’re excited to keep building this future together. Keep your eye out to join us for the next one! #ClimateWeekNYC #CircularEconomy #Circularity #Sustainability #SalonSeries #SuperCircle

♻️ Circularity that delivers. For the planet and business. We’re proud to see Second-Life Swim — our first-of-its-kind recycling program with J.Crew — featured in their 2024 Impact Report (pg. 20). Swimwear is one of the most damaging categories to send to landfill because of the high use of synthetic materials in its fabrication. But together, we’ve built a scalable, national program that keeps swimwear in use and out of landfill, while upleveling customers’ closets with J.Crew’s more sustainably designed swim (90% now contains recycled nylon or the use of ECONYL®, a 100 percent regenerated nylon yarn made from 50% post-consumer waste and 50% pre-consumer waste). Through Second-Life Swim, J.Crew customers can send in worn-out suits from any brand and receive credit to shop new styles. The result: 🌍 A measurable sustainability impact — with program participation growing YoY 💸 A seamless experience that rewards customers 📈 A circular model that supports long-term profitability At SuperCircle, we’re powering circularity at scale — creating the infrastructure brands need to meet rising customer expectations, regulatory demands, and internal sustainability goals. Thank you to J.Crew for your leadership and action. Together, we’re proving that circular systems aren’t just possible — they’re powerful. Last month we attended the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) Traceability & Sustainability Conference, where one thing was clear: circularity and EPR are no longer on the horizon, they’re here. Across panels and hallway conversations, three themes rose to the top: • EPR is no longer theoretical. California’s SB 707 is already influencing legislation across other states, and brands across categories are racing to prepare. • We’re moving towards circularity as a business mandate. It’s no longer about one-off pilots, it’s about building systems that scale. • State and EU policy pressure is growing fast. Brands are navigating overlapping requirements and looking for solutions that actually work in practice. We're proud to be working alongside brands leading the way in building circularity into their business model. If you’re figuring out compliance, interested in building a takeback program, or rethinking reverse logistics, we’d love to help — let’s talk! Reach out to inquiries@supercircle.world or send us a DM. #EPR #circularity #SB707 #reverselogistics #textiles #circularbusiness
