Bunbury Port is a hive of activity with batteries for our Collie Battery Energy Storage System continuing to arrive. Construction on the project is powering along with batteries being delivered to site gradually, once complete it will be the biggest in WA. #energytransition #batterystorage
We're pleased to see Synergy (Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation)'s Collie Battery Energy Storage System reach a milestone today with the first battery lifted into place. Before they could make their way up the hill, all 640 batteries were imported and temporarily stored at our Port of Bunbury, which continues to play a vital role in Australia's energy transition. Once complete, Collie is set to hold the biggest grid-connected battery energy storage system in WA with 500MW of power with 2000MWh of energy storage.
