Across #California, wildfire risk has changed – and so have we. We’re placing powerlines underground, expanding our network of weather stations, and using advanced technology like GridScope and line sensors along with #AI-enabled tools that help us predict wildfire weather in order to mitigate risk. Every step reflects our commitment to safely and reliably serve our customers and hometowns. This video captures key aspects of PG&E’s #wildfiresafety progress over the last eight years – and the measurable change driven by our coworkers and partners across California. Together, this work has led to no major wildfires caused by our equipment in 2023, 2024, or so far in 2025 – a reflection of the progress we’re making. This trailer offers a first look at how technology, innovation and collaboration across PG&E are reshaping wildfire safety. The full video can be viewed on our wildfire safety progress webpage: https://lnkd.in/gp2WZPYM Gridware #wildfire #fireprotection

Joining together to strengthen the way we support customers, Pacific Gas and Electric Company hosted inaugural Community Advocate Summits in #SanRamon and #Stockon. The events brought together more than 150 representatives from local community organizations and small businesses. Bay Area Regional Senior Manager Mónica Tell, Central Valley Vice President Joshua Simes, and subject matter experts representing PG&E programs and services led thoughtful engagement with stakeholders. Organizations that participated in enriching panel discussions included Central Coast Energy Services, Fair Housing Advocates of Northern California (formerly Fair Housing of Marin), Community Action Partnership of Kern, and Valley Clean Air Now. The events offered inspiring guest speakers and testimonials from local community advocates, panel discussions, and extended networking. Congratulations to the 10 suppliers and contractors who were recently honored by PG&E at the ninth annual Outstanding Supplier Awards ceremony. The companies selected showed outstanding quality performance throughout the year while helping us deliver for our hometowns and keeping everyone and everything safe. More than 400 suppliers and contractors were considered. The Okonite Company received the Alpha Eagle Award, which acknowledges their top scores in quality, safety and audits. Four suppliers (Do It America, Graver Technologies, LLC, QU. E.S.T. and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL)) were given the Quality Journey Award for showing strong improvement and a great quality culture. Five contractors (Veteran Pipeline Construction, Outsource, Eppler, Finta Enterprises and SHIFFLET BROTHERS ENTERPRISES, INC.) received the Contractor Partner Award for their work with PG&E. Recently, at a “Hack the Town 2025” event sponsored by PG&E, young developers showed what's possible when technology meets purpose. In just two days, students created mobile app concepts that address real challenges in their communities. The solutions they built touched a range of topics and they built apps advancing healthcare access, financial literacy and employment opportunities. PG&E is proud to support events like this and leaders like Samia Zuber and the Hack the Hood team. Dave Canny, PG&E Vice President North Coast Region, was named the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco. Dave’s experience will be invaluable as Habitat for Humanity prepares to break ground on eight new homes in Bolinas and continue planning the state’s largest 100% affordable homeownership project in Novato.
