At PNC we go all-in on Halloween — which we think speaks volumes about our casual, fun, and connected work culture — and this year was no exception. In true builder spirit, our teams transformed the office into a circus, Area 51 (yes, aliens included), a fully stocked Target featuring Premier Protein shakes, Santa’s Workshop, (because why wait for December), a music festival, and our legal team showed up as rock, paper, scissors. Hordes of minions, pirates, human piñatas, aliens, a pickle, boba tea, and—of course—dogs in costume were seen throughout the office. And for those seeking wisdom, our very own in-house fortune teller, Madame Premier, was ready with advice from her “walking” booth. Premier Protein has teamed up with Milk Bar on a protein-packed menu featuring three exclusive protein menu items made with Premier Protein shakes or powders. Blueberry Pancake Super Cookie, Power-Packed Tiramisu Truffle, and Mega Milkshake Caramel Cake will be available in August at the NYC, LA, and Washington DC Milk Bar flagship locations in-store and for delivery on DoorDash, UberEats, and GrubHub. We’re thrilled to unveil a new look for Premier Protein featuring a refreshed logo, evolved design elements, and modern colors to help bring even more joy to our consumers' health journey.   We’ve also updated the flavor of our best-selling chocolate, vanilla, café latte, and caramel to be even more delicious, while still delivering 30 grams of protein, 160 calories, and 24 vitamins and minerals.   You’ll find our new look and updated flavors starting now, as new packaging begins appearing on store shelves across the country, as well as in advertising, social media, and on our Premier Protein website.   There are so many thanks to go around for bringing this massive effort across the finish line. At PNC, we’re on a mission to help people live healthier lives, so we’re excited to announce the launch of Premier Protein’s new Shakes for Shifts program aimed at taking care of those who take care of us. To kick off the program, Premier Protein is sponsoring the American Nurses Association (ANA) through a $450,000 donation to fund nursing scholarships and initiatives that improve the well-being of the over five million nurses in the U.S.. From burnout to mental and physical health struggles, coupled with the rise in demand to support people with chronic conditions, nurses have never been in greater need or under more stress, and we’re honored to support them for the meaningful work they do throughout our communities.   A big shout-out to Alie Vaselenko, PNC’s Senior Digital Marketing Manager, who spearheaded the development of this amazing program that aims to spread good energy to the caregivers that so many of us rely on every day. #shakesforshifts

This week we had an exciting Builders’ Workshop featuring Wendy K. Smith presenting, “Both/And Thinking: Embracing Creative Solutions to Your Toughest Problems.” A published author and expert, Wendy shared her learnings on balancing the competing demands of running a fast-growing business and why it’s ultimately more beneficial to explore complexity versus viewing decisions as “either” “or.” As big believers of living in the “and” we pride ourselves on prioritizing performance AND kindness, empathy AND accountability, and clear AND kind feedback. This recent Builders’ Workshop provided perspective and tools to help navigate the tension of balancing competing priorities while making business decisions. Our Builders’ Workshops gather the entire company to learn from award-winning leaders and thinkers to explore how to grow and develop skills that reinforce our purpose-led culture. A big thank you to Wendy K. Smith for sharing her insights and reminding us that while learning into the “and” may be more challenging, it’s worth the effort.

For the second year in a row, our PNC elves supported families in need through the adopt-a-family program at the Davis Street Community Center in San Leandro, CA. PNC employees purchased gifts for 25 families ranging from toys to clothes to grocery gift cards. Extra special thanks to everyone who helped transport the toys and other gifts to the community center for distribution. Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe holiday season.

It’s hard to believe that it’s time for our annual PNC Friendsgiving Celebration - where did the year go? Once again, we provided the turkey, stuffing, and gravy and asked everyone to bring in their family’s favorite dish. From sausage stuffing muffins to sweet potato souffle, apple butter cookies, and buñuelos it was fun and delicious to get a taste of everyone’s traditions and set aside time to gather and connect.
