Our Q Care Plus and Avita Care Solutions teams joined our partners at GMHC and thousands of supporters for the 40th Annual AIDS Walk New York, the world’s largest HIV and AIDS fundraising event. AIDS Walk New York is an expression of our forward-moving action, as we stride together toward a future where everyone has access to HIV testing, treatment, and care services. It’s a demonstration of solidarity against HIV and AIDS stigma. It’s a gathering in remembrance of those we’ve lost – and it’s an affirmation of our ongoing care for each other through good times and bad, no matter the weather.

Cameron has been a Texas resident his entire life, growing up in East Texas and moving to the DFW area to begin his education. He earned his BSN from The University of Texas at Arlington and began his career working in the emergency department. After gaining several years of nursing experience, Cameron added to his education, completing his MSN at The University of Texas Arlington as well. During his graduate education, he had the privilege of meeting a wonderful mentor at Parkland Hospital’s Amelia Court HIV Clinic who told him he would find a fulfilling career working in HIV care and prevention, and she was right. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse practitioner. In 2017, he joined a busy practice in Dallas serving members of the LGBTQ community that focused on HIV treatment and prevention. He has spent the last 8 years helping patients manage their health while also assisting them in preventing future illness. When not working, Cameron stays active, enjoying running, biking, and weightlifting. He likes to think he is a pretty talented cook, having been taught at a young age from his mother, but he also likes to go out for a nice dinner with friends from time to time.
