Agentic development should always be optional, but for those who use it, we're building something really cool at Review Board, adhering to our People-First approach. I'll have more to share on the Review Board page and at https://lnkd.in/gqJ8Fx2m in the coming months. #AI #agentic #development #codereview

How do we ship broad language support with Tree Sitter? Getting good results isn't as easy as just adding a dependency. https://lnkd.in/gadSBfWN

How does your team review hardware design changes today? Software teams have had good review tooling for twenty years. #Hardware teams are stuck in a conference room with a projector and someone taking notes. On a dense board design it’s easy to miss a problem that costs weeks of turnaround. We’ve been working on adding native review for #EDA design files to Review Board, so you get a real diff of what changed, layer by layer, with comments anchored directly to the components. This gives you one review workflow for everything: #schematics, #PCB layouts, #RTL, #firmware, and documentation, all in one tool. This is still pretty early, so we’re hoping to work with people to shape where it goes. If reviewing hardware designs is a pain point for your team, we’d love to talk to you. https://lnkd.in/gudivUak

#Atlassian stopped selling #Fisheye and #Crucible in May 2025, and support ends May 15, 2028. While “just move to Git and use pull requests” may work for some, anyone who needs large asset handling or strict auditability is left out in the cold. Years of review comments are years of institutional memory. Your Version Control System records the final version of a change but doesn’t always tell you why a change was made, who pushed back, or what alternatives were considered. Throwing that out when you turn off your Crucible server is a heavy loss, and for some regulated industries may be a compliance risk. We’re building a tool to move your Crucible history into Review Board. You keep your existing version control: #Perforce, #Subversion, #Git, #Mercurial, and more. Review Board runs on-prem, including in air-gapped environments, with the audit trails and integrations to build the workflows for your specific needs. If you’re feeling stranded on Crucible and staring down that 2028 deadline, we’d like to talk to you. https://lnkd.in/gaEFp4Fx

When you're on-prem, you don't have to be down just because they're down. We believe in the future of on-prem. We're code review and document review for every project, every task. We're your team's Review Board. https://lnkd.in/gDZgQf6e #GitHub #outage #development #codereview #softwaredevelopment #onprem #opensource

#Forgejo's a Git-based software forge that's been gaining a lot of traction lately. It's open source, privacy-respecting, and easy to run on your own infrastructure (sound familiar? 😉). The Dutch government even chose it as the foundation of its hosting platform for open source software: https://lnkd.in/gZyH-FxH We believe in supporting good tools that give their users full control. Now you can easily combine Review Board's powerful, workflow-flexible code review with your Forgejo repositories. Here's how to set it up for free: https://lnkd.in/g-DwFS-f #OpenSource #CodeReview #DevTools

GitHub has had 31.9 days of downtime so far this year (according to https://lnkd.in/gNdZKgU7). If you're tired of being blocked, try Review Board. You can still keep your code hosted on #GitHub but move your reviews to Review Board, hosted in your server or by us. On top of guaranteed uptime, you'll get better review capabilities: interdiffs between revisions, per-region commenting on images and docs, and built-in support for stacked changes. Stay unblocked with Review Board. https://lnkd.in/gDGcWTWH #Microsoft #CodeReview #SoftwareDevelopment #DevTools
