We’re proud to see our team leading meaningful conversations around hiring from the military spouse community, and the resilience, skill, and adaptability that comes with it.
Still recovering after Military Influencer… but I needed to share something I'm extremely proud of. I had the chance to speak with Jasmine Browley, M.A.. at Forbes, alongside Tessa Robinson, about why hiring military spouses isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a smart talent strategy. Military spouses are often a hidden workforce: mobile, resilient, highly skilled, and ready to deliver when employers meet them with flexibility and intent. I know this because I hire them. At Recurrent Ventures, I get to turn my passion for military spouse employment into action by building solutions that elevate our community while and our mission while supporting military-connected families. Tessa Robinson ensures our voices are amplified, especially through MilSpouseFest and Mighty MilSpouse. She’s a steadfast advocate for military spouses and pours her heart into lifting up our community. Lakesha Cole makes sure our stories go beyond our community and reach new audiences: future employers, champions, and advocates. Thank you Jasmine Browley, M.A. for shining a light on this issue. Most of all... thank you to the spouses who balance service to their families with meaningful careers. You are not a hidden workforce. You are leaders, innovators, and a driving force behind this mission. Please read and share, especially with employers, leaders, and advocates who can help push this conversation forward: https://lnkd.in/gUeEgsF5 #Hiring #MilitarySpouses #FutureOfWork #TalentStrategy #DEI #RemoteWork

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about Tessa Robinson! After years of working alongside her, I’ve seen firsthand how she tackles every challenge with grace, dedication, and a tireless work ethic. From her role as Editor in Chief at We Are The Mighty to now stepping into her new role as Director of Military Partners at Recurrent Ventures, Tessa has consistently demonstrated her exceptional leadership, deep connections within the military community, and ability to open doors for new opportunities. Tessa has been a true asset to our team, and I’m excited for what she will accomplish in her new role. I’ve had the privilege of watching her roll up her sleeves and get things done—always with a smile and a commitment to excellence. Tessa Robinson, congratulations on this well-deserved promotion! You’re going to do amazing things, and I can’t wait to see the impact you’ll continue to make. And just as a side note, we are now hiring to fill Tessa’s former role as Editor in Chief of We Are The Mighty. One of my favorite types of editorial project: Finding some piece of the car world most people have forgotten about and digging up backstory nobody's heard. Caleb Jacobs did a great job exploring this fascinating "almost-was" engine, and got some amazing insight on the project from none other than Gale Banks! cc: Banks Power, Chevrolet
