At Remotely we just wrapped up a case study with Bluecore, a retail martech leader. Their challenge: build an exceptional team quickly without compromising quality. 👉 25+ hires across engineering, PM, and people ops 👉 33 Day-Average Time to Hire, compared to the 60-day market average 👉 Estimated 35-50% cost savings per hire 👉 High retention, many of our first hires have since been promoted Throughout different stages of growth, Bluecore relied on Remotely to tackle the same challenge: bringing on top-tier technical talent quickly, efficiently, and without ever compromising on quality or culture. Special thanks to Tara Sussman, Kenny Teng, and Laurent PIERRE for sharing their story.

We’ve heard every story about middlemen in outsourcing. When did skimming off the top become a business model?
A cost+ model that puts you in control

One year in and Rodrigo Rattay Andrade is already taking home hackathon hardware at TheGuarantors. That’s what we call a Remotely move.
It's finally here! This hackathon trophy will be in my desk now as a special memory of my 1 year at TheGuarantors — a time where I learned so much, grew as a professional, and most importantly, made great friends along the way. I’m deeply grateful to the amazing people who supported me more closely during this journey: Amanjot Khaira, Rudra Dixit, Carlos Alexandre Lima, Bernowly Lima Bernardo, Gilbert Jabre, Daniel Arocha, Jack Blankenship, Marisa Bernstein, Aitor Gumiel, Mauricio and team from Remotely.works — and so many others I couldn’t list them all here. I’ll be cheering for all of you and for TheGuarantors to continue being a great success!

“You could close your eyes and not tell the difference between a candidate from LATAM and one from the US.” That’s not luck. That’s alignment. When Wonderschool rebuilt their team with Remotely, quality went up, even as headcount dropped. The right model matters.
A year ago, Wonderschool came to us with a familiar story - 20 offshore engineers, plenty of activity, but not much progress. Their CTO, Naga Ravi Vadrevu, had inherited the setup. On paper, it made sense: lots of engineers, and a vendor handling logistics. But in practice, it wasn’t working. The engineers weren’t meeting the bar, and the deeper issue was the model behind them. The vendor’s incentives were simple: maximize headcount. That meant pushing junior profiles at high markups, regardless of fit or impact. What Wonderschool needed was high ownership and technical quality, and the offshoring model wasn’t delivering either. So they walked away from the old setup and rebuilt with Remotely, focusing on three things: - Full control over who they hired - Transparent, cost-plus pricing - Engineers fully embedded in the team, not just working alongside it Six months later, their key DORA metrics improved: - Deployment frequency increased by 30% - PR throughput increased by 30% - Feedback loops tightened, and product outcomes improved, even with half the headcount The quality difference wasn’t just visible in the metrics. Everything upstream improved - people flagged issues early, made better calls, and followed through without being chased. Naga said it best: “You could close your eyes and not tell the difference between a candidate from LATAM and one from the US.” Offshore isn’t broken. But most offshore vendors are. We wrote up the full case study (link in the comments).

Traditional staff augmentation is taking advantage of your developers. Today, we're fixing that. We often see senior engineers discovering their previous agencies were billing clients $80+/hour while paying them less than $28. This is the standard, and it's infuriating. We don't think it's fair that staff aug takes as much as 85% of what you're sending them. Our developers earn substantially more, stay on projects longer, and consistently deliver higher-quality work. And our clients are happier. The new Remotely.works brand better reflects who we've always been – a company that believes fairly compensated talent delivers better results. Check out our new site and if you’re looking to move on from the old staff aug, reach out!
