92 students, three years, countless new opportunities We believe the communities that host renewable energy projects should benefit long after construction is complete, and investing in local people is a big part of that. For the past three years, RES has supported the UHI, University of the Highlands and Islands Student Development Fund in Scotland, helping 92 students from some of the country's most rural and remote communities take the next step in their studies and careers. The fund has opened doors to: ➡️ Professional qualifications ➡️ Conferences and research visits ➡️ Volunteering placements ➡️ Individual development opportunities The opportunities cover many subjects, from peatland conferences and archaeological digs in Orkney to archive research and industry qualifications. Euan Hogg, Development Project Manager, UK&I Wind Development, RES, "Supporting the Student Development Fund over the past three years has been a privilege. It's fantastic to see the breadth of opportunities it has unlocked for UHI students across the Highlands and Islands, Moray and Perthshire. RES is proud to support this talent, helping students access experiences that make a meaningful difference to their studies, careers and communities." As wind fleets age and energy markets move faster than ever, the question is no longer just how to build, but how to get the most from what's already operating. That's what our Digital Solutions team has been discussing with customers and partners over the past few weeks at WindEnergy Hamburg, AEMER - Asociación de Empresas de Mantenimiento de Energías Renovables in Spain and New York Climate Week. WindEnergy Hamburg: With many turbines approaching the end of their original design life, extending blade life safely is one of the biggest opportunities to protect returns. We hosted a roundtable on blade life extension, maintenance strategies and the future of asset performance. AEMER, Spain: Data is only valuable if it leads to better decisions. Aleix Torner explained how our digital solutions turn operational data into practical insight for O&M and asset management teams, helping them work more efficiently and deliver more value for asset owners. New York Climate Week: Battery storage projects built for todays market may not suit tomorrows. Alex Bamberger spoke on a roundtable about how to build flexibility into projects from day one, and shared how RESolve and our wider digital capabilities help customers adapt as market conditions change. And finally our growing Digital Solutions team in Copenhagen has moved into a new shared office, bringing everyone together under one roof as demand for these capabilities grows. #PowerForGood

Completing a training course doesnt make you competent. So what does? That was the question Dennis Thorlund Elsberg, VP HSQE at RES, put to the room at the GWO Safety amp; Training Forum 2026 in Paris. His answer: competence is skills, knowledge, attitude and experience combined - and its only proven on live assets, under real operating conditions. The challenge for solar is clear. The workforce is set to grow fast, but standardised competency frameworks are still in their early days. The question is no longer whether these skills are needed, but how quickly we can build, assess and scale them. As Chair of the GWO Global Solar Committee, Dennis is helping shape those standards - part of RESs commitment to a competent, mobile and safety-first renewable energy workforce. Thank you Global Wind Organisation for hosting the conversation. How does your organisation measure competence beyond the certificate? Pls tell us in the comments. #PowerForGood #GWOForum #SolarEnergy #WorkforceDevelopment #Safety

When you sell battery storage into the US market, the control systems behind it must meet the same regulatory bar as any other electronic equipment. FCC (Federal Communications Commission) compliance, which covers electromagnetic emissions and interference under Part 15, applies to the equipment that makes up your EMS, ESP and power plant controller, not just the cells and inverters. Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) rules go a step further, restricting where those components and their materials can be sourced. So readiness is as much about where your controls come from as how they perform. So before you commit to a supplier, ask a simple question: is your BESS controls stack FCC and FEOC compliant? If the answer is not a clear yes, your project timeline could be at risk. RESolve, our BESS control system, is designed and tested so that its hardware and software meet both FCC and FEOC requirements. We're building projects and partnerships with the people of the land 🌱 Across Australia and Canada, we're strengthening our partnerships with Indigenous Peoples through meaningful collaboration, from our Reconciliation Action Plans to equity partnerships such as with Cowessess First Nation at the Bekevar Wind Project in Saskatchewan. These commitments reflect an ongoing journey rather than a finished one. We recognise there is more to do, and we remain committed to building relationships with Indigenous communities that create enduring benefits for generations to come 🤝 Read about what we're doing in our Power for Good report: https://lnkd.in/eRdjjvhw #PowerForGood #Sustainability

As WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 draws to a close, the team are tired but it's been a great week. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by the stand to catch up, meet us and talk about how we support wind assets across the full lifecycle, from development and construction to O&M, asset management and digital solutions. A few topics we've been talking about this week: • Keeping ageing fleets running, from spares and supply chain to life extension • Making the right call between extending and repowering • Getting more from energy storage, with RESolve helping owners optimise their battery assets. Great to see Rea Meisinger, Tamas Nagy and the Bladena - A RES company team bring industry experts together for their roundtable on what full scale blade testing can teach us about blade performance and extending blade lifetime. Thanks to our Hamburg team for a brilliant week. If we haven't had the chance to talk, drop us a message. What has been your biggest takeaway from Hamburg this year? #WindEnergyHamburg #WindEnergy #EnergyStorage #WindOperations

3.5 minutes. That is how long it takes John E. Davis to drive across his ranch in West Texas. It used to take 25. The difference is the access roads built for the seven turbines he hosts on RES' 148 MW Cactus Flats wind farm. Since 2019, the royalties have given him a steady second income while farm economics tighten across the US, and most of it goes straight back into the ranch: feed, fencing, water systems, those roads. He has also put money into a community hub in Menard, Texas, with EV charging, a farm stand and a music stage. Wind farms are often built on land that people work for a living, and the benefit does not stop at the landowner's gate. It shows up in the ranch that stays viable, and in the town that gets something it did not have before. Full story in Fertilizer Daily: https://lnkd.in/eA7rtJfX #PowerForGood

Almost a third of Europe's installed wind capacity will hit 20 years of operation by 2030. And eventually the choice to repower, extend asset life or decommission will arrive, at scale. Whichever path an owner takes, the years in between need to be efficient, with the reliable data to help shape the right decision. Read here: https://lnkd.in/e3Q-5tp9 We've been delivering OFTO O&M and HV engineering across the North Sea for over 15 years, and we're now building our own offshore turbine maintenance and MCR capability too, backed by a growing digital portfolio. In addition, through OWOP (Offshore Wind O&M Partnership), cranes, vessels, spares and specialist support come together under one contract. This blog looks at what actually shapes that decision – the HV skills gap, why data beats guesswork and an alliance of experts to rely on. Find us at the RES Lounge (A1.408) in Hamburg this week for a coffee and to help you decide. #PowerForGood #WindEnergyHamburg #OWOP #OffshoreWind

🏆 Onshore Development Project of the Year 🏆 We’re proud to be recognised for the development of Sclenteuch Wind Farm – owned by TagEnergy – in the Onshore Development Project category at last night’s inaugural National Wind Energy Awards! Originally developed by RES and consented in December 2025, Sclenteuch Wind Farm is a great example of how listening and collaboration can help shape better outcomes. Building on an earlier proposal, our team worked closely with local communities to understand feedback, address concerns and refine the design so it sits more sensitively alongside its neighbours. Careful site selection, proactive engagement with statutory consultees, and tailored community benefit packages across two councils delivered consent from Scottish Ministers with no inquiry procedure and zero statutory objections - a rare outcome for UK onshore wind. We're proud to deliver a project for TagEnergy, as part of its first UK investment in wind farms, at a critical time in the country’s energy transition. Thanks to reNEWS - Renewable Energy News for the recognition and congratulations to all the finalists! 👏 #NWEAwards26 #PowerForGood 📸 credit: Make the Break
