Yesterday I had the pleasure of kicking off Dott Warehouse Open Day at our Bristol service centre. We welcomed partners from the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, Bath & North East Somerset Council Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire Council, Big Issue, and many more for a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to deliver one of the UK's largest and most successful micro-mobility services. A highlight was hosting Lord John Bird to discuss the growing partnership between Dott and Big Issue Recruit. Together, we’re helping people facing complex barriers to employment find sustainable, meaningful work within our operations. It was an opportunity to celebrate Dott's recent £5 million reinvestment to launch a new fleet of e-bikes and e-scooters in the West of England. We also highlighted some of the major milestones we’ve delivered with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, including opening up parts of the Bristol–Bath Railway Path, moving to a 24/7 service, and Helen Godwin Mayor of the West of England's ScootSafe campaign, which has helped ensure 99% of trips end in designated parking bays. The impact is already clear. In recent weeks we’ve repeatedly broken ridership records: best week, best day, best Monday, best Sunday, the day before was our best Tuesday - and it’s not even peak season. We’re now gearing up for what we expect to be our highest-ridership summer yet, supported by initiatives like Free Unlock Sundays and the WEST SummerPass. Thank you to everyone who joined us today. P.S. We keep an “open door” policy, so if you weren’t able to make it today and would like a tour, please reach out.
