We're excited to announce that our IP, Assets, and team have been acquired by Oishii!! After building a successful partnership over the past half year, we collectively realized the power and potential of combining forces. As the AgFunder article says, Tortuga will supercharge Oishii's excellent farm automation and engineering efforts, and the teams are already combining to drive value. While other vertical farms have struggled, Oishii has consistently delivered excellent strawberries (and now tomatoes!) into supermarkets, and has reduced their prices by 80% over the past few years. The legacy Tortuga team is excited to contribute to Oishii's big vision of delivering the very best strawberries (and more!) at every price point to consumers everywhere. Thank you to all of Tortuga's former employees, customers, investors, and friends. We are so proud of what we built together and excited for the next chapter. Despite a challenging macro environment, the future of farm robotics is bright!
