Thanksgiving traditions matter to our guests, but so does trying something new. A recent YouGov survey finds 7 in 10 Americans value Thanksgiving food traditions, while nearly half plan to put their own twist on a classic recipe this year.    Our team is helping guests put their own spin on Thanksgiving with nearly 60 new food and beverage items, from Kooshy Sourdough Stuffing to Favorite Day Apple Caramel Crumb Pie, plus $5 sides, pies, appetizers and wine. We’re also bringing back Good & Gather frozen turkey for 79 cents per pound and offering a Thanksgiving meal for six for just $30, maintaining last year’s $5-per-person value.    Together, we’re making it easier for families and friends to celebrate their own way, with fresh finds and value they can count on.    Read more: https://lnkd.in/eXr6p2Bz   #Target #Thanksgiving #FoodAndBeverage #GuestExperience #Value

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and we’re celebrating how one team member’s idea is helping create more welcoming experiences for our team and guests. Juan D., a Checkout Advocate who is deaf in Roseville, Minnesota, drew on his own experience to create a handmade sign to remove communication barriers and make checkout interactions easier. His idea sparked something bigger. Team members across user experience accessibility and team member experiences partnered with Juan to create the Checkout Communication Resource, a visual tool designed to help guests quickly communicate common requests at checkout. Today, the resource is available at all Target stores as one of many ways we support team members through our accommodations process. Juan’s story is a powerful example of what can happen when we gather feedback from our team members, value their ideas and work together to design solutions that help people feel supported, belong and do their best work. And when we create a better experience for our team, we’re better able to deliver the easy, inspiring and friendly experience for our guests. #TeamTarget #Accessibility

Purpose driven, together.  Eight years after joining Target as a Starbucks barista, Kimberly F. is celebrating a new chapter in her career as a Store Director. When Kimberly first joined Target, she never imagined herself leading a store. As she explored new opportunities across Guest Services, Style, General Merchandise and Human Resources, she developed new skills, built confidence and discovered new possibilities for her career. Each role challenged Kimberly to step outside her comfort zone and see the business from a different perspective. One of the biggest turning points in Kimberly's career came when she became an Executive Team Leader in Human Resources. In this role, Kimberly discovered a passion for developing others and shaping team culture. She also found a mentor in Cassius F., her former Store Director. “He saw the potential in me before I even saw it in myself,” Kimberly shares. “I never thought about Store Director. That was not something that was even on my radar.” Cassius encouraged Kimberly to challenge herself while providing guidance and support. Through this mentorship, Kimberly learned that great leadership goes beyond driving results. It’s about recognizing potential in others and helping them see what’s possible. The people and sense of community have kept Kimberly at Target for eight years. Her experience across the store helps her understand her team’s challenges and the impact of leaders showing up to help. “Sometimes I just go and push alongside a team member to let them know I am here to support you,” Kimberly shares. “I know you have a lot to do, and I'm here to help you.” Today, Kimberly leads with care, helping others grow and recognize their potential, just as her leaders once did for her. A Target made for the Hamptons  After more than seven years of searching for the right location, we’ve opened our first store on Long Island’s East End — in Bridgehampton, New York. Inspired by the classic Hamptons house, the store pairs unmistakable Target style with local character: gray shingles, a welcoming front porch, beach cabana-inspired fitting rooms and even custom wallpaper featuring Bullseye exploring local landmarks. The result? A store that feels like Target — and like it truly belongs in Bridgehampton. It’s also one of eight stores we’re opening this fall, and more than 300 we plan to build across the U.S. by 2035, bringing Target closer to even more guests and communities. Real Work. Visible Impact. From Target warehouses to families’ tables. What does it take to keep food moving through Target’s supply chain? For Team Members Gabriel and Anthony, it means working in temperatures that can drop below zero, learning to operate equipment and relying on teammates to get the job done. From unloading incoming trucks to picking orders headed to stores, Gabriel and Anthony each play a different part in keeping products moving. And when someone needs a hand, Anthony says, “You always have your peers to lean on.” For Gabriel, seeing that work come full circle makes the effort worth it. “Once you go to the store and you see the food, everything that is there, and then you just think about it. I did that. You’re feeding a lot of families.” Go behind the scenes with Gabriel and Anthony to learn what it’s like to work in a Target supply chain facility: https://lnkd.in/evMT6W-C #SupplyChain #TeamTarget #JobPreview #DayInTheLife

Big ideas, great minds and 20 years of innovation in Minneapolis! 🎯  Last week, some of the brightest minds in recommendation science came together in Target’s hometown for a week of learning, connection and exciting possibilities for the future of retail. We were proud to serve as a Platinum Sponsor of RecSys, celebrating 20 years of innovation and welcoming researchers, students and industry leaders back to Minneapolis, where it all began. Throughout the conference, our Data Science team shared how we’re advancing machine learning, recommendation science and personalization to solve complex challenges and create better experiences for millions of Target guests. “RecSys gave us a huge opportunity to showcase Target's scientific talent on a global stage, and our teams hit it out of the park, from award-recognized research and packed sponsor talks to a booth that drew constant traffic,” shared David Relyea, Director of Data Science. For Mei Chen, Director of Data Science, the experience was especially meaningful. “As someone based in Minnesota, it was extra special to see RecSys return to where it all started twenty years ago. Representing Target as a Platinum Sponsor alongside companies like Google, Meta, Netflix and Amazon was an incredible opportunity to share the recommendation science challenges we're solving at Target, connect with the broader research community and showcase the amazing talent across our teams.” Thank you to the RecSys community and our team members who made this possible.
