What makes a PM candidate a "strong hire?" Deborah Liu knows. For years, she led the PM recruiting process at Meta and set up the process to hire over a thousand PMs during that time. I was lucky enough cross paths and learn from Deb during my first project at Meta, and now I couldn't be more excited to collaborate on a workshop about what really makes PM candidates stand out Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 11, she’s joining us for a free, live workshop on: - What hiring managers actually look for in interviews - How AI is reshaping what it means to be a product leader - How to use rubrics to sharpen your answers and show up as the “obvious hire” If you’re prepping for product interviews, especially in this new era of AI-driven products, this is one you don’t want to miss. Free, live, and open to all. 👉 RSVP link in the comments #productmanagement #ai #careers #leadership #interviews #superinterviews #productjobs

    Tech executive, advisor, board member

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐏𝐌 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚 “𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭-𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐞”? For several years, I led the PM recruiting process at Meta and set up the process to hire over a thousand PMs during that time. I also interviewed candidates weekly for PM roles for well over a decade. I have seen new products come, and each time, PMs have had to evolve to keep up with the tech. The candidates who always stood out to me were those who showed up prepared, adaptable, and self-aware. Last month, I mock-interviewed several college students, and I saw up close just how misaligned candidates came off in unintended ways. Many times they didn't realize how their answers were focused on what they were saying, not what the interviewer was asking beneath the question. I spent hours helping them adjust how they spoke about their experience to make sure it resonated with the interviewer. AI is rapidly changing what it means to lead product. No one knows what the next few years will hold, so hiring managers are looking for those who are most adaptable and have a learning mindset. Those with fixed ideas of the role or how to build will struggle in this new world.  I am a big fan of using AI to help with the interview process. Recently, my friend Lexy Franklin built Superinterviewers, by Sidebar. It’s an AI tool that can help candidates prep for interviews. As someone who has spent years mock interviewing and prepping candidates, I see so much potential for this tool to help job seekers learn the keys to cracking the interview. Candidates can practice and leverage real-world interviewing rubrics to help them land their point. I am co-hosting a workshop with Superinterviewers on Tuesday, November 11th. We’ll be talking about hiring rubrics (what managers are looking for), becoming an AI builder (the next evolution in product), and insights from my years of hiring that you can use. If you want to learn more after the workshop or trial Superinterviewers, Lexy offered a discount to give it a try.   Interviews are stressful, but having real-time feedback can make all the difference. If you keep making it to final rounds but not getting offers, you need to hear this: You're not losing because you're unqualified. You're losing because you're optimizing for the wrong thing. I've watched Evan LaPointe teach interview strategy, and what sets him apart from other experts in the space is simple: He's actually been the hiring manager. Multi-exit founder. Built the 4th largest analytics platform on the internet (acquired by Adobe). Led product strategy for Adobe's multi-billion dollar Experience Cloud. Worked with Microsoft, Apple, Verizon, Goldman Sachs, Delta-300+ organizations. The man has hired hundreds of people. He knows what actually works and what's theater. And here's what he'll tell you that nobody else will: → Interviewers are bad at their jobs. They don't know what questions to ask. → "Being impressive" is actually the wrong strategy. Great candidates take control. → 95% of candidates—even the qualified ones—fundamentally misunderstand what's being tested. Most interview prep teaches surface-level tactics. Evan teaches the actual psychology behind how hiring decisions get made. How trust forms. Why certain answers win while others lose. What different personality types (operators vs. visionaries vs. craftspeople) are actually listening for. This isn't theory. It's pattern recognition from 15+ years of being on both sides of the table. This Wednesday (Nov 6, 9am PST), Evan's running an invite-only workshop breaking down why qualified candidates keep coming in second—and the exact positioning shifts that change the game. "Stop Coming in Second. How To Land To Finally Crush the Final Round and Seal the Offer for $300K+ AI Roles.” VIP invite-only. Already on the list? Check your email. Not on the list? Apply here via the link in comments. We review within 2 hours. We're looking for people actively interviewing at competitive companies. If you're not quite at that stage yet, no worries, we'll point you to the right workshop for where you're at. Full transparency: I'm a fan. Evan's work on behavioral science and human performance is some of the best I've seen. And unlike most people teaching this stuff, he's actually built companies, led teams, and made the hiring decisions that changed people's lives. Worth your time.

AI Strategy. Product Growth. Intelligent Execution.

Welcome to your AI Product Growth Era. We’ve been waiting for you. The lines between Product and Growth are blurring. Fast. In traditional tech, you knew your lane: PMs built products, Growth drove acquisition, PMMs positioned. Clean boundaries. In AI? Those lines don't exist anymore. Your product gets smarter as users use it. Your growth loop IS your model improvement loop. Your GTM strategy has to evolve as your AI capabilities evolve. This is confusing everyone. Especially in interviews. Here's what I'm seeing: Candidates make it to final rounds at Google, OpenAI, Stripe. They're talented. They've prepped hard. Then they get asked about AI strategy and they can't tell the difference between AI-native thinking (building intelligence from the ground up) and AI-enabled thinking (adding intelligence to existing products). These are fundamentally different approaches. Different architectures. Different growth strategies. Different ways of thinking about product. And here's the good news: Once you understand the difference, everything clicks. I'm partnering with Sidebar and #SuperInterviews to run a 60-minute workshop this Friday (Oct 31st, 9 AM PT) breaking down exactly this distinction.( RSVP Now! Link below in Comments ⬇️ ) You'll learn: 🔹 How to identify AI-native vs. AI-enabled roles from job descriptions 🔹 Why Product and Growth are converging in AI (and how to talk about it in interviews) 🔹 Real case studies from top company interviews 🔹 How to position yourself for both types of roles Plus you get my GTM playbook for AI products, Kasey ✨ KD ✨'s AI-native interview question bank, access to our 1K+ member Slack community, and exclusive pricing on #Superinterviews' full-stack job search support. Free. 60 minutes. This Friday. If you're navigating your AI Era. Whether that's interviewing, transitioning, or just trying to stay ahead. This is for you.

🔥 Google vs. Stripe: Both companies ship at crazy scale, but how they build (and interview) couldn’t be more different: Google: matrix orgs, moonshot patience, "Googlyness". Stripe: owner-mindset autonomy, “write the doc, then write the code.” Which culture actually lets you thrive? This Thursday we're running a FREE, live workshop to break it all down: Google vs. Stripe: Find Your Best-Fit PM Role Thursday, Oct 30 @ 9 AM PT 60-min clinic • zero cost • seats limited We’ll cover: - The 4 traits each hiring loop hunts for - Subtle red flags that signal a mismatch - Story-building frameworks that land offers (not down-levels) on both sides If you’re a product leader eyeing your next move, or already mid-loop, grab a spot before it fills. Link in the comments. LFG.

The AI gender gap is closing -- and widening. At the same time. Women are catching up fast in how we use AI. But when it comes to building it: leading teams, writing code, shaping AI-native products, the gap is still growing. Even as women make up nearly 40% of AI users in leading economies, they hold less than one-third of AI-skilled roles, and under 15% of leadership seats. That’s stat sucks for many reasons. Not the least of which is that it represents a missed chance for everyone. Because when women build, the table gets bigger. The ideas get braver. The products get better. The future feels more human. Which is why I’m pumped that the Superinterviews Team is introducing: 🚀 The Terrific Ten This week we’re celebrating ten women-led AI companies who are building, and hiring, the future: 🧠 Thinking Machines Lab - Mira Murati 🤖 Anthropic - Daniela Amodei 🎨 Canva - Melanie Perkins 🎓 Guild Education - Rachel Romer, Bijal Shah 🎥 Recall.ai - Amanda Zhu 🔒 Vanta - Christina Cacioppo 📚 Maven Clincs - Kate Ryder ☀️ Sundial.so - Julie Zhou 💬 Included.ai - Laura Close 💜 Lovable - Elena Verna They’re proof that women aren’t just using AI. They’re architecting what’s next. And their leadership invites all of us: men, women, and everyone building this new world regardless of identity, to join them. 🎟 Join us: Women Building AI: The Interview Playbook A FREE 60-minute live session hosted by Superinterviews Come for: 1. Inspiration from the Terrific Ten 2. A list of open roles at their companies 3. Kasey ✨ KD ✨ (GTM / Fairy Job Mother / AI Builder ) run a mock interview for a role Lovable using Superinterviews 4. An exclusive Superinterviews offer to help you land a role at one of these This session is open to everyone who believes the future of AI should look like all of us. 👇 Save your spot 👇 🎥 Can’t make it live?
