Earlier this week, Dhaval Moogimane, Bret Greenstein, and Joe Bloom had the opportunity to speak at Thoma Bravo’s Chief Product Officer Summit in Chicago. The topic? Discussing how AI is rewriting competitive moats and elevating the role of product leadership and teams. Core themes of the discussion included ⤵️ 👉 Assessing your product portfolio: AI is driving greater emphasis on the fundamentals of product management like ruthless prioritization to identify high value use cases, a customer-first mindset, and smart resource allocation. Strong product management matters more than ever in the age of AI. 🙌 Leverage unique data: Not all data is unique. Understand your true data differentiators and how to use them to build a competitive moat—all while navigating permissions, accessibility, architecture fidelity, and quality. 🤝 Cultivate innovation: Embed AI into your processes and culture to foster practical, organic innovation and experimentation across your teams. 📏 Measure and communicate ROI: Establish key parameters of success early - focus on outcome measures and leading indicators that demonstrate progress. Develop effective communication strategies with the board to articulate progress and impact. Thanks to the Thoma Bravo CPO community for the lively discussion and the continued partnership!

When people think of entrepreneurship in the world of software, they usually think of startups and founders. And that can certainly be true. But at Thoma Bravo, we have a different view. Entrepreneurship is a mindset that we celebrate in our people, our portfolio companies and our day-to-day work. Can we look at this a different way? How can we do things better? What did we learn? As Managing Partner Lee Mitchell says, “You don’t have to start a business to be an entrepreneur.” We couldn’t agree more.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. But for us, cybersecurity isn’t a once-a-year topic. It’s a core part of our business. We have one of the largest cybersecurity portfolios in private equity, representing +$60 billion in total enterprise value (includes control and non-control investments as of 06/30/25). We’re proud to work with such talented teams of cyber professionals. Thank you for everything you do!

We may be one of the world’s largest software-focused investors, but we haven’t lost sight of what a privilege it is to work with founders who built their companies from the ground up. That’s why being recognized by Inc. Magazine’s 2025 list of Founder-Friendly Investors holds special meaning. Inc.’s list highlights firms with strong track records of backing founder-led businesses and helping them thrive. We’re grateful to the founders and leadership teams who place their trust in us, and we look forward to continuing to earn it. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gv8iMSSH

It was so great to be back at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, a place filled with such wonderful memories. Thank you to Gintare Zukauskaite and the entire View From The Top team for the opportunity to speak with such an impressive group of students about leadership, resilience, and the future of private equity. I shared advice that’s guided me throughout my career: do your thing. Focus on yourself and your business, rather than getting caught up in the noise of what others are doing. Success isn’t always linear, but if you stay positive and take things one step at a time, you’ll get there. You don’t need many job offers, just one — and the right one. Keep going. It will come. It was inspiring to see the energy, curiosity, and drive in that room. The future is bright!
