What an incredible two days at the KOCCA New York (Korea Creative Content Agency) Pavilion and the Korea Cultural Center in New York! Firstly, it was an honor to be invited as part of KOCCA’s B2B Meeting Program, where I had the opportunity to meet with three amazing Korean companies(Devsisters, BigHouse Entertainment, and AB Entertainment) to learn more about their offerings and discuss potential creative collaborations. Not everyday one gets a chance to learn about a new culture. We had interpreters during the conversations but for majority of the conversation I understood what the creators meant and I felt understood as well. The conversations were deeply productive, and I hope we will get opportunities to collaborate soon. Later in the week, KOCCA NY hosted a remarkable panel and networking event at the Korean Cultural Center in the heart of NYC. The center itself is an inspiring space that celebrates Korea’s artistic and cultural spirit. The first thing I did when I got down from my Uber was to look up and admire the beautiful artistic wall inside through the glass walls of the building. They soon ushered us to the theater inside and the event started. The discussions explored how different cultures are shaping the global entertainment industry, the responsible integration of AI in creative work, and how platforms like Webtoon are transforming storytelling itself. Hearing Michael Uslan speak about Batman’s significance in his life was truly inspiring, as was Konshik Yu’s reflection on how Korean television is bringing their culture to global audiences. David Miles Uslan shared valuable thoughts on responsible use and impact of AI and multiculturalism in entertainment, while Ryan Lee’s insights on Webtoons’ influence on global creative testing were eye-opening. I had the chance to connect with Michael and David afterward during the networking event. It was an honor. Thanks again David for liking our Hanuman figure. It was equally great catching up with Jeff Gomez, who was kind enough to share his thoughts on our work and the evolving space of transmedia storytelling. A big thank you to KOCCA, the Korean Cultural Center, and especially Chase Changhee Seon and the Umoh US team for inviting me to such a seamless, inspiring event. The warmth and hospitality of everyone reminded me so much of home. 😊 Happy anniversary KOCCA NY and thanks again for the gifts, I will always cherish them! Truly grateful to be part of conversations shaping the future of storytelling and cultural exchange. 🙏🏼 #KOCCA #KoreanCulturalCenter #CreativeContent #Storytelling #TheHierophantEntertainment #GlobalIP #Comics #Collectibles #Transmedia
