Leaders from both organizations share their opinion on why it is essential for global dialogues like #COP30 to address the lack of sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence services in climate adaptation plans. Every single day, more than 700 women die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. That’s one woman lost every two minutes, needlessly. At the World Health Summit last month, UNFPA India Honorary Ambassador Kriti Sanon spoke out for the health and rights of women and girls everywhere. When we invest in women’s health, we invest in global wealth. Together, let’s build a future that’s healthier, more equal, and more just. With proper training and support, midwives could prevent nearly two-thirds of all maternal and newborn deaths and stillbirths. Yes, Ms. Diene Keita! Gender inequality and health disparity do not emerge at old age. They accumulate over time and demand systemic change. Countries must design ageing policies with women’s needs, experiences, and contributions in mind. #SocialSummit2025 #GlobalGoals
