Curious where our hens retire in the evenings after a long day grazing and exploring the pasture? Around sunset, they head back into the barn where they sleep every night. This keeps them cozy and most importantly, safe from predators. They typically like to lay their eggs in the morning in their protected nesting boxes in the barn, where they can enjoy their privacy. About 3 hours after sunrise, the barn doors open and the girls are free to roam and forage in the pastures year-round. Have another question about the girls' lifestyle? In turn, they're compensated fairly and given hands-on, in-person support from our Farm Support team.
