XMOS is the leading producer of Generative System-on-Chips (GenSoCs).
About us
XCORE® is a generative SoC platform, capable of integrating Control, I/O, DSP and AI in a single chip to match any requirements customers may have. Its deterministic, parallel architecture makes it a game-changer for modern generative system design, enabling users to build entire differentiated systems more quickly and economically than on any other platform. The parallel architecture means it can perform multiple tasks at the same time without interference, and complete them reliably and predictably. XCORE’s flexibility, scalability and determinism give it a critical edge over systems built on sequential processors as a platform upon which systems can be generated. In the modern era of generative system design, XCORE chips enable systems to become endlessly reconfigurable in real time, allowing for flexibility and faster time to market, with lower development costs. Custom hardware requires an immense amount of forward planning, compromise, expertise, and cost. Fixed hardware, high development costs and long lead times mean that creative projects get stalled, compromised, or never built at all.

Go Jarvis! 🤖🎙️ Check out this great demo from Seeed Studio showcasing how the XMOS #XVF3800 enables some seriously impressive far-field voice capture and responsive interaction in the fun form of Jarvis, the #LeKiwi robot. From beamforming and noise suppression to reliable wake-word performance, it’s exciting to see developers building more natural human-machine experiences with the XVF3800 at the core. The future of physical AI needs audio that just works, and this is a great example of it in action. Want to know how the XVF3800 can power your next project? Take a look here: https://lnkd.in/esHpa7w2 👏 Great work from the Seeed Studio team! #VoiceAI #Robotics #EdgeAI #XMOS #ConversationalAI #EmbodiedAI #AudioDSP #AIoT #PhysicalAI #XCORE #GenSoC
🤖🗣️ How Far Away Can You Still Talk to Your LeKiwi Robot? In this demo, we integrated #reSpeakerFlex into the #LeKiwi Robot to bring real far-field voice interaction to embodied AI. 🚀 Even at distances from #5m to #7m, the LeKiwi robot can still: ✅ Reliably detect wake words ☑️ Accurately recognize, respond, and execute voice commands This is more than simply adding a microphone to a robot. Powered by XMOS XVF3800's far-field voice pickup, beamforming, and onboard acoustic processing, reSpeaker Flex enables robots to maintain stable voice interaction even across large indoor spaces and noisy real-world environments. Whether for: 🤖 Robotics 🧸 Smart toys 🖥️ Interactive terminals 🏠 Embodied AI devices reSpeaker Flex is designed to make voice-first interaction more natural, reliable, and deployment-ready. 🛒 Get reSpeaker Flex: https://lnkd.in/gqc36t3g #SeeedStudio #reSpeaker #reSpeakerFlex #MicrophoneArray #XMOS #VoiceAI #SoundAI #EdgeAI #AIoT #EmbeddedAI #EmbodiedAI #XMOS #Robot #Robotic #LeKiwi #LeRobot #VoiceCommand #VoiceControl #VoiceInterface #SmartEarforEmbodiedAI #TheAIHardwarePartner

Most discussions about gaming performance focus on one thing: lower latency. But there’s a deeper systems problem hiding underneath. A gaming system can be fast and still feel inconsistent. Why? In our latest article, we explore why deterministic timing matters across: 🎧 Spatial audio 🖱️ Input systems 🎙️ AI voice pipelines Across all three domains, the same pattern emerges. It’s not just about reducing delay. It’s about ensuring systems behave predictably, frame after frame, cycle after cycle. That has major implications for: • real-time audio • gaming peripherals • AI inference pipelines • embedded system architecture • human perception and responsiveness The article also explores why deterministic execution architectures are becoming increasingly important as gaming systems grow more complex. Running DOOM is fun, but what it showcases here using XCORE is even better😄 On XCORE.AI, this project brings together: ✅ Real-time audio processing (including MIDI synthesis and mixing) ✅ Video output to an LCD display ✅ Input handling ✅ File system and memory management ✅ A full game engine - all running concurrently on a single XCORE chip using hardware threads. It’s a great example of how deterministic, parallel processing enables complex embedded systems without an OS. DOOM just happens to be a very fun way to show it! Thanks to Ed Clarke for showcasing this project 🎮 👉 Explore XCORE: https://lnkd.in/eiDk5mkN #EmbeddedSystems #AudioProcessing #RealtimeSystems #XMOS #DOOM #AudioDSP #Gaming #XCORE

#Physical #AI is more than just the next step after #edge #AI, it represents a fundamental shift in what AI does. Until now, AI systems have largely focused on interpreting the world: recognising #speech, classifying images, analysing data. Physical AI goes further. It closes the loop between perception and action, enabling machines to respond in real time to the environments around them. That shift changes everything. When AI systems are responsible for action, controlling a #robot, stabilising a drone, or powering a haptic interface timing is no longer a performance metric. It’s a requirement. Determinism, low latency, and true parallelism become critical at the silicon level. In our latest article, we explore: → What physical AI really means → Why real-time execution matters more than peak performance → How this shift is redefining semiconductor design Read more: https://lnkd.in/eYRMt-nQ #PhysicalAI #EdgeAI #Semiconductors #EmbeddedSystems #RealTimeSystems #AI #XMOS #GenSoC
