If you’re located in the Designated Countries or UK and we have reason to believe you’re 16 or 17 years old, we use your information in the same way we do for adult members (as explained in our European Regional Privacy Notice), except we seek to provide these extra protections:
- We don’t use your data to train generative AI models that create content while we have estimated that you might be 16 or 17 years old, even if your setting says it’s turned on. Learn more.
 - We don’t allow advertisers to target ads based on any age grouping that is younger than 18 years old. Learn more.

We use your data based on the legal reasons listed in our European Regional Privacy Notice — such as to fulfil our contract with you to provide the LinkedIn Services, with your consent, for the legitimate interests of LinkedIn, its members, customers and the wider community, to follow the law, or when it’s in the public interest.
You have the same choices to control your data that we give to adult members, which are set out in the section called “How you can control your data” in our European Regional Privacy Notice.
