Collaborative articles are a new way to tap into the collective knowledge of the LinkedIn community so you can learn from experts across professional topics, ranging from the common “How do I get a promotion?” to the more specific “How do I advertise to Generation Z?”
Collaborative articles are knowledge topics published by LinkedIn with insights and perspectives added by the LinkedIn community. These articles begin as AI-powered conversation starters, developed with our editorial team, but they aren’t complete without insights from our members. A select group of experts have been invited to contribute their own ideas, examples and experiences within the articles.

Get alerted to collaborative articles through your LinkedIn Feed, notifications, and communications, when your network contributes, or when a new article is published to skills pages that you are following.

Search for skill-related keywords or specific 'how-to' questions in the LinkedIn search bar to find relevant skills page or collaborative articles.

Find collaborative articles on all search engine results outside of LinkedIn.

If you’ve contributor access, click Contribute expertise on the Share box at the top of your LinkedIn homepage to find relevant collaborative articles (Desktop only).

You can share, react to, and save collaborative articles like any post on your feed.

If you find a contribution helpful, you can like or react to the contribution.

At the end of every article, you can rate the overall quality of the article to help LinkedIn improve the content experience.

You can also report a contribution or the entire article if you believe it violates our Professional Community Policies.
LinkedIn has invited a select group of experts to contribute insights within these articles. LinkedIn identifies members who are likely to be experts in a certain topic based on their work experience, skills proficiency, and prior engagement on the platform. They must also meet high trust and quality standards by adhering to LinkedIn’s User Agreement and Professional Community Policies, and their contributions must remain relevant, original, and additive. To be considered, you can engage with the articles by liking or reacting to them.
If you have been invited to contribute, you can click Add your perspective to add your contribution to a section in the article. As a contributor, you have the opportunity to:
- Be seen as an expert in your field: Share your unique perspective and get recognition alongside other experts.
- Expand your reach: Gain exposure to new opportunities or connections outside your network.
- Help the community: Give back by helping the LinkedIn community find answers to common workplace questions and supporting members in advancing their careers.
You can monitor the performance of your contributions by checking the total view count under it. This count reflects the total number of times a contribution has been viewed across LinkedIn. This information is only visible to the contributor.
You may also receive a notification when your contribution receives a certain number of views.
LinkedIn uses AI to help summarize the collaborative articles as key takeaways using the article content and featured contributions. It may provide a concise summary of the key points discussed in the article. This section is only visible when there are two or more featured contributions.
