    The first competitive Glassware hackathon, with participation by 34 Glass Explorers + 39 developers, resulting in 21 Google Glass projects ranging from hardware solutions to medical utilities to developer utilities to games. Winners were (FIRST) Dart Hackers creating physical game play on the Frogger franchise, (SECOND) Plant Something creating a mediated-reality location-based game, and (THIRD) Connected Glass creating a developer platform to connect wearable devices to Glass.

    Breaking Glass was organized by the Society of Glass Explorers (SOGE) and hosted by Citizen Space in downtown San Francisco over the weekend of Aug 16-18. Fenwick & West created a cash prize package, and industry leaders from Rackspace, Andreesen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, Silica Labs, and Holofy volunteered to participate as judges (Kleiner Perkins in absentia).
