    I don't remember how many years I was involved. But we organized the cardboard box homeless shelter nights on campus and a variety of soup kitchen programs. And other events and donated the money to local Rockford homeless programs.

    Never used it, basically forgot about it until this competition.
    I brushed up on it in the car on the way to the Wichita competition.
    I used the city and then the state competition to re-learn BASIC

    In addition, I taught myself to code in HEX and Binary, mostly I just wanted to see if it worked.

    Perhaps, if I had studied COBOL on the bus to Nationals I would have placed higher. :)
