VERTICAL TAKE-OFF AND LANDING (VTOL) TILT-WING PASSENGER AIRCRAFT
Issued US 11077937B1
See patentDisclosed herein is a VTOL tilt-wing aircraft that serves as a 4-6 passenger airliner for scheduled service between city centers and that is optimized for travel distances from 100-500 miles fully loaded with passengers and fuel. The VTOL aircraft solves technical, cost, and time problems inherent in other forms of transportation, including, but not limited to, rail, passenger airlines, and helicopters. The VTOL aircraft (1) takes off and lands like a helicopter, (2) flies fast like a jet, and…

TRANSACTION PROXYING
Issued US 7,305,466
A method of diagnosing a problem in a network impacting communication between a network user and a destination machine in the data network comprising:
establishing communication between a diagnostic unit and the network user using a protocol stack adapted to establish communication with the network user even if the network user is attempting to communicate using a protocol or configuration that is inconsistent with a protocol or configuration of the destination machine;
simulating, with…A method of diagnosing a problem in a network impacting communication between a network user and a destination machine in the data network comprising:
establishing communication between a diagnostic unit and the network user using a protocol stack adapted to establish communication with the network user even if the network user is attempting to communicate using a protocol or configuration that is inconsistent with a protocol or configuration of the destination machine;
simulating, with said diagnostic unit, the destination machine to said network user by receiving first data from the network user, generating second data simulating a response of the destination machine to the first data and sending the second data to the network user;
determining with said diagnostic unit the presence of a problem with said network user based at least in part on information gathered during the act of simulating; and
if a problem is determined, storing an indicator of the problem on a computer-readable medium,
wherein said diagnostic unit is located remotely to said network user and said destination machine.Other inventorsSee patent -
PC CONFIGURATION FAULT ANALYSIS
Issued US 7,127,506
A diagnostic unit which detects instances of misconfiguration of a subscriber's PC is presented. Many problems experienced by PC subscribers attempting to access a network are related to misconfiguration of the subscriber's PC. The diagnostic unit is able to communicate with the subscriber's misconfigured PC through Fault Tolerant Protocol stacks. The diagnostic unit emulates services such as log-in, authentication, e-mail and the Internet to the subscriber. The diagnostic unit examines the…

The diagnostic unit is able to communicate with the subscriber's misconfigured PC through Fault Tolerant Protocol stacks. The diagnostic unit emulates services such as log-in, authentication, e-mail and the Internet to the subscriber. The diagnostic unit examines the traffic sent by the subscriber to detect instances of misconfiguration and reports the detected configuration of the subscriber's PC.

NETWORK FAULT ANALYSIS TOOL
Issued US 6,823,479
A testing tool for Internet Service Provider (ISP) network engineers which is used to diagnose network faults, characterize network performance and evaluate new equipment and software releases. The tool can be used to schedule and run proactive tests to identify network problems before subscribers are affected. Further, the tool can be used to provide testing on demand to quickly isolate the root cause of a problem identified by the tool or by network management systems or subscribers. The tool…

The tool can be used to schedule and run proactive tests to identify network problems before subscribers are affected. Further, the tool can be used to provide testing on demand to quickly isolate the root cause of a problem identified by the tool or by network management systems or subscribers. The tool is topology independent and thus does not have to be reconfigured as the network changes. The tool only sends traffic as directed by the network engineer and thus does not generate undesirable heavy network traffic loads, unless such a heavy network loads are desired by the network engineer.

NETWORK FAULT ISOLATION
Issued US 6,654,914
Techniques are provided for improved fault isolation and fault reduction. A system for use with a data network includes multiple diagnostic units each adapted to communicate with the network including to a network user. A central controller is operatively connected to the diagnostic units, the controller being adapted to communicate with and coordinate operations of the diagnostic units, to instruct the diagnostic units to perform tests adapted to help isolate a network fault, and to analyze…

A central controller is operatively connected to the diagnostic units, the controller being adapted to communicate with and coordinate operations of the diagnostic units, to instruct the diagnostic units to perform tests adapted to help isolate a network fault, and to analyze test results received from a diagnostic unit to attempt to determine the network fault. Various methods for improving fault isolation and fault reduction are also provided.
